An Eastern Shore lab houses one of the world's largest oyster hatcheries. Scientists there have churned out billions of oysters and helped drive an oyster resurgence in the Chesapeake Bay.
But thanks to a ~50% cut in NOAA funds, their work is in jeopardy:

Yesterday late in the day I landed in Negril and gave away water food, hot meals, beef patties, fruits….the situation was “tense” but thanks to the cooperation of the people and @JamaicaConstab we were able to distribute right in the field to the people…while We @WCKitchen prefer to do it in a more organize way, the decision was about delivering it or taking it back to Kingston…so I’m glad we did it! #JamaicaOneLove 🇯🇲 more coming everyday…let’s do this Jamaica!
