Overwhelmed on two counts. Firstly to be recognised in the Kings New Year’s honours, and secondly to be featured in an article by the @TheRFL, 12 year old Dave would never believe it!
From 2021-2024 I was privileged to lead an exceptional group of people during a challenging period of history! I was supported by my amazing wife (Sally) and family. I’m humbled to get to receive an OBE on behalf of my family and @7RegtRLC.

An epoch defining event - UGV and UAV combined assault, amazing! A step change in the ‘character of war’ it comes with significant considerations for supporting elements. Log, ES, Comms, and the inevitable change in counter UGV/UAV. apple.news/AXW9ceGBURwye7E--…

Hi Alfie I know this one would be an unusual one but I would be Honoured if you could put up the following regimental colours of 7 Regiment RLC who bare Polish colours unknown to many soldiers in our army Poles served in the RCT until the 1980’s up till that point they could not return to Poland as they would have been shot and executed by the soviets. I have spent the last few years of my career trying to promote the existence of the regiment to the Polish community and have visited parliament on 2 occasions. My wife who is Polish has a grandfather who survived the holocaust.
A great article by @WarintheFuture if we, the @BritishArmy want to triple our fighting power, ingenious indigenous solutions is the only affordable way we can achieve it.
Over the past couple of years, #Ukraine has developed a world-class long range strike system, comprised of air, land and maritime strike capabilities. In my new piece for @LowyInstitute, I explore what Australia can learn from this evolving Ukrainian strike capability. lowyinstitute.org/the-interp…
This is what our greatest game is all about. Passion that transcends clubs and inspires communities.
A very emotional Player of the Match, Brodie Croft, summed up the game and the emotions of an incredible evening at Headingley.

Always a honour to stand with the greats from our sport to pay our respect to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
To do something like this takes an inner strength most of us are incapable of summoning. His legacy is far broader than our greatest game, his impact on the MND community and wider society is testament to this strength.

This is fantastic! One of the best things the Armed Forces offers to its people is social mobility. Imagine joining as a Rating and leaving as a Doctor! Well done Shippers! This is the model we should strive for.
Delighted to see that Medical Branch Ratings now have a path to become Doctors within the @RoyalNavy without having to leave the service! Med School while earning a salary, military pension and having tuition fees paid is awesome! #medschool #doctor 🩺
Having become a regular user of our debacle of a UK rail service - I have to agree. The question is how to create a quality, reliable, and affordable service?
