Coach Matthew Mitchell: "You share the same philosophy as Willie Fritz and you can show up half as good as him, you've got a chance to be good."

Takeaways from Houston's 110-53 win over Montana Tech feat: @AYanez_5 & @TheHRReview!
This Cougars team has length; they're fast, and they're deep! But it's still early, and UH has areas to clean up before the regular season begins!

A federal appeals court will hear argument on one of the most significant eligibility cases this morning at 11a ET. Thousands of athletes' eligibility to play this season is at stake in Wisne v. NCAA.
The plaintiffs are the "class of 2022" D1 athletes who the NCAA has denied a 5th season under the new 5-in-5 rule.
It's a complicated antitrust case with lots of moving parts, but it may come down to 2 big-picture issues. I think it will be a close call.
A quick 🧵breaking them down:

Having just listened to the oral argument in Wisne v. NCAA at the 10th Circuit, I think the NCAA will win 3-0 and it won't be close. With attorney Rakesh Kilaru arguing for the NCAA, the NCAA had a great day in court. The nationwide injunction is highly likely to be reversed IMO.
A showdown over NCAA eligibility arrives Tuesday at the 10th Circuit.
The ruling in Wisne v. NCAA could affect thousands of former college athletes, millions in NIL opportunities, and the future of eligibility litigation.
