Eurogamer being the odd one out (for the 6th time this year) single handedly made Phantom Blade Zero's overall score go from a 91 to 88, simply because they use a 5 star system.
Based on their own words: A 3/5 star review means "a positively leaning review" but the issue is metacritic forces that into a 60/100. It works as a standalone review, but in a shared aggregator like Metacritic, it actively kills the math, and can tank an overall score. And they've done it multiple times this year.
I can't wait for this, but man, I have a feeling it'll be plagued with technical issues at launch.

I recommend downloading this Chrome extension. It lets you block specific channels so they never show up on your homepage, feed, search results, or anywhere else on YouTube with 1 simple click.
Finally starting Bioshock Infinite!
Been holding off on this for the longest time. Bioshock 1 is one of my favorite games of all time. Bioshock 2 was decent, however it's finally time to experience the 3rd.
I can't wait for The Game Awards in December.
The dopamine I'll always get seeing new games revealed is the best feeling, especially as it's at the end of the year. Just hoping it doesn't end on a Highguard ahh world reveal.

Who remembers the museums in video games? This stuff used to be so cool to see.
It's a shame we don't see this anymore. Now it's more so a 2D menu with a collectibles screen that you can access from the menu.
This looks quite good for a WIP. Definitely plan to keep an eye on this mod!
This is a First Person Camera mod for Assassin's Creed Unity, and it has a download link.
The camera follows Arno's animated head, hides the head & hood from the main view while preserving cast shadows, and automatically pulls back when the camera approaches geometry. It is designed for immersive walking, parkour, combat, and exploration.
The mod author has said it's not nearly complete. It's still decently polished for what it is, and it reminds me of Dying Light 2. I hope he continues to polish and smoothen this out.
It's brutal, but that's the unfortunate reality of gaming today.
The cost of development has become so steep that a single misstep can wipe a studio off the map just like that. Unless you're backed by a publisher with millions to burn, every new project is a massive gamble. You're either betting it all on an Expedition 33 type release, or pulling a Samson.
