(**JULY 2026 UPDATE**)
In order to save anyone the hassle of asking me about it, I decided to cave and put together a quick explanation on the private drive I post about on here.
===CONTENTS OF THE DRIVE===
INSTALLS — Hundreds of various forms of installs that I've compiled over the years from both sides of the ball (Special Teams coming soon) that span from high school to NFL.
COVERAGE LIBRARY — An organized library of installs and materials from the installs and other sources. This is a favorite of most people I get feedback from.
ROUTE CONCEPT LIBRARY — An organized library of pass game installs and materials from the installs or other sources that I’ve organized by concept/family. This is still in progress and likely will be for a while, but it’s accessible anyway since there’s enough in there to justify it.
FILM — Although it's not the main focus of the drive, there is a hefty amount of college and NFL film that is cycled in & out. These are downloadable so that they can be kept even after they're cycled out.
CUTUPS — One of the most informative parts of this drive are these cutups that are labeled and organized in a way that allow them to be used for teach tape. These are currently focused on the Reid system since it's the offense I'm able to provide context and additional resources for.
MANUALS — Along with some position manuals that span from HS to NFL level, all of the documents I put together and use as teaching tools are available within the drive. This includes the "Winning With Pre-Snap" manual and a wide variety of glossaries.
OFFENSIVE SYSTEM — The last main piece to this is my personal system's pass game materials. There are hundreds of diagrams and a complete manual that provide context to everything included in this folder. My system is built on a Reid/Pederson west coast foundation with some modern flourishes.
Basically, if you are interested in learning the specifics about any of the following, this is an excellent resource for it.
— Pass game concepts
— Coverage mechanics
— Quarterback process (Pre- & Post-Snap)
— Quarterback fundamentals (footwork, etc.)
— Teaching the pass game
— The Andy Reid offense
— The Vic Fangio defense
— West Coast offense
— Baltimore defensive system
— Coverage techniques
— Route running
— Creating & implementing a system
— Scouting opponents
— Evaluating talent
For those who are interested in access, it's now $30 (via CashApp or Venmo) up front to help offset the storage costs and allow for constant new updates. Instead of a subscription model, this is just a one time thing and you'll get access for good. If you are outside of the US, just contact me to work something out because I know those aren't available to you. The main goal is to share information rather than gatekeeping it, so if you aren't in a position to contribute, just let me know and I'll make it work…no questions asked. I'm not going to shut anyone out of these resources and I'm happy to help anyone who may not be in a position to contribute right now. I've been in that position many times before and others were always helpful to me, so don't hesitate to ask.
Anyone can either just send it to CashApp ($TheHonestNFL) or Venmo (@TheHonestNFL) with their Gmail included so I can set you up, or get in touch with me. Just requesting access to the folder itself isn't an option anymore for reasons that are out of my control, so you need to go through me to get it.
This is outstanding. Some of the best football stories I’ve ever heard were about the headset banter, and a few of them are actually included (Andy/Lovat/Holmgren and JJ/Rivera). I love when niche topics or random aspects of the game are explored like this.
For a year, @SandoNFL and I dove into what actually goes on in an NFL headset, and the vast networks that make every play possible - hidden in plain sight.
Then, the best visuals team in the world made it tangible.
A project unlike any you’ve seen: nytimes.com/athletic/interac…
I’m glad that I saved many of the good questions that I’ve been asked about on here over the past few years. Once this project pushed beyond just our system & scheme, we decided to address some of the specific stuff I’ve been asked that I didn’t do well enough (or at all) in the past. This off-ball LB drops page stemmed directly from a question about the difference between a Hook drop and a Curl drop. If it was you that asked, then I apologize for the holdup. There will be quite a few examples like this throughout.
In the final stages of the manual that @BeauBedene and I put together. The idea was to just give a basic look at what goes into learning a system, but it’s become essentially a many-hundred page poor man’s install.
There’s a fine line between confidence and stubbornness in football. Then there’s another fine line between stubbornness and stupidity.
Geometry
Great execution of the mesh concept by JAX against Cover 3. Against man, you keep running. Against zone, you settle into the soft spot. Nate B does exactly that and gets the ball. Had he kept running, he would've allowed Henry To'oTo'o to cover him and the back.
Azeez has been too impatient in pass coverage this year. If he stays disciplined in his zone and lets the routes come to him, he's still in position to drive on Hunter if needed while also being able to make a play on Nate when he settles.
In Cover 3, Azeez shouldn't be drifting over to help Hansen this much here. He needs to trust Hansen to handle his responsibility and maintain his own zone integrity.

The coverage library has been organized a little better and will be uploading some stuff today.

The Eagles have handled this whole situation very poorly from a PR perspective. The head coach shouldn’t have to answer for what’s not directly on his plate, and this was the opportunity to have Howie explain it.
There is currently nothing easier to defend in the NFL than the Eagles getting under center. There’s no threat of any quick game or dropback passing, and the things they actually do (run, play pass, and run action) are not effective at all. Getting into formations that you simply refuse to any form of non-action pass is malpractice, in my opinion.
Gannon’s evolution as a DC has been really impressive to watch. The pre-snap presentations specifically have been excellent and tied together really well (from both a micro and macro perspective).
This should be framed in a manner that questions a team’s entire process for assessing, diagnosing, and evaluating someone’s ability to play
The huddle and pre-snap are my favorite part of football.
Ever wondered what goes into making a play-call in 40 seconds?
@FitzMagic_14 breaks it down 🧠
