No wonder he smiles. £8.5 million pounds from UK taxpayers to support #Mowi's polluting activities in Scotland - including a recruitment drive around High Schools. Kids need to be going into sustainable industries with a future, not dying #Salmon farming. fishfarmingexpert.com/aquacu…

Foreign owned #salmon companies spend vast amounts of money on PR promoting their polluting basket case of an industry. Im proud to be a small part of this effort to cut through the bullshit and show the reality of factory farming salmon in Scotland. youtube.com/watch?v=d1i3-KHN…

Thatcher Gov sold it off to Peel Ports, one ofthe reasons Glasgow s waterfront isn't like majority of European river/estuary cities.
Glasgow’s waterfront is a hugely underused resource. In Gothenburg passenger ferries cross cross the waterfront. Gothenburg made ships are berthed repurposed as restaurants and hotels. Glasgow needs its ships and boats back!

The failure of @theSNP @JohnSwinney To adopt fisheries spatial management (as effectively practiced by our neighbours)clearly shows they cant manage #Scotlands resources. The elephant in the room when it comes to managing Scottish fisheries  scotlink.org/the-elephant-in… – at Whiting Bay, Scotland

.@JohnSwinney @JimFairlieLogie continue to support Maggie Thatcher's Tory abolition of the 3-mile limit in 1985. This measure opened up our inshore waters to destroy nursery habitat, ultimately costing an 88% reduction in inshore fishing boats. #Inshorelimit = Economic Recovery

Can the @ScotGovFM answer how he would govern an Independent County when @theSNP ministers have failed dozens of legally binding marine & fisheries commitments. All devolved. insideclimatenews.org/news/0…

Its a broken food system when #Salmon farmers are relying on increasingly pressuried wild fish to feed a sad farmed one, loosing fish protein in the process. Watch as aqua feed companies shift their focus to #krill and destroy another food web. fishfarmermagazine.com/news/…

For over 2 decades I have asked & pleaded with @ScotGovMarine @ScotGovFM to urgently put in protection to make our inshore waters more resilient to #ClimateChange They ignored myself & 84% of Scots. To favour destructive bottom towed gear. This collapse was a political choice. – at Knockenkelly, Scotland

🌊 The race to protect 30% of our seas by 2030 is CRITICAL to a healthy planet & future. But it is utterly meaningless if those areas deemed to be 'protected', actually allow destructive activities, like bottom trawling, to take place within their boundaries. theconversation.com/the-worl…

Never mind 6 yachts Offord. Tragedy is so few Scots have modest wee boats or sailing skills when our coastline covers a third of the planet. We have fewer boats than everyone else in N Europe for simple fixable reasons. Keep Out signs. Landowners. Poverty thenational.scot/news/188203…

. @ScotGovMarine @NatureScot continue to be a bit picky and choosy on what evidence they use. If it doesn't suit their narrow policy agenda, ignore it. Time for an enquiry – at Whiting Bay, Scotland
