Good coaches pass the credit to the players, and accept the blame for a loss.

Fun night at HHN, besides a few bumps.

Hey, @UniversalORL , at HHN, I understand some people buy the fast pass, but you don’t have to let the regular line simply stop for an hour while you let all the fast pass people in. Just saying.

The SEC is NOT the best conference in CFB, they are just the most Propagandized. (Looking at you, ESPN). With the transfer portal and NIL there is more parity across college football than ever before. Every team has access to the same players. Either on the front end or the back end through the transfer portal. Saying the Big Ten is better than the big 12 is better than the AAC is ridiculous. Every year, every team is essentially a new team. That essentially means chaos every single year. That is the new college football, and frankly, it could be very good for the game. The only thing that will mess it up is that past bias impacts who can even compete for a national championship. Right now, I think I’m just going back to enjoying individual games for what they are. Support my teams when they win or lose, and hopefully I can find my love for the game again.

It’s 8:30am and my throat still hurts, I still can barely talk. Last night feels surreal. Watching UCF get positive press on ESPN is refreshing. It’s been a long time.

The Narrative at @espn tomorrow will be “See, BYU was over rated and the B-2 is ass.” Also on ESPN, “See, Texas dropping Ole Miss shows how deep the SEC really is!”

Today was a great day to take @miles_flash and 3 of his @TMAathletics Teammates to the @UCF_Football game! I think this was an experience they will never forget.

Public Service Announcement!!!! so, somebody hacked into myUS Mint Account and tried to make a $1350 purchase. They are pretty slick, they spam bomb you so you don’t see the transaction. I actually caught it though, and was able to cancel. Going through and changing passwords on everything right now to be safe. If you see a whole bunch of spam suddenly hitting your inbox, look at it carefully, because somebody’s probably trying to steal from you.

Serious question, at what point do fans say “Why are we spending $20M on a roster to get 4 wins?” (I am talking about all fans not any particular team). Maybe recruit kids that other people don’t want, coach them, and you will still win 4 games without dropping $20M.! just a thought. Build your infrastructure. I can tell you there are a ton of kids that just want to play, are overlooked by “Major Programs”, and love the game. Means more work for the coaching staff, like it was 6-7 years ago before the portal, but somebody is going to do it.

There are days I wonder about people, thinking it must be hard to go through life perpetually angry all the time. That’s no way to live. All you do is bring down everyone around you.

This is the best tradition in sports. Period.
In Iowa, 70,000 people turned their backs on a football game, and for a second I thought something terrible had happened. My buddy Kyle got me a ticket. Kinnick Stadium. I'd been studying football for two weeks and had just figured out what a "down" was. I was ready. End of the first quarter. Whistle. The whole stadium stood up and turned around. Away from the field. Everybody. The old guy next to me with a seat cushion older than me. The college kids with gold paint on their chests. Kyle. Where I'm from, you don't turn your back on the stage. Not on a teacher, not on a shrine, not on a guest. My first thought was that Iowa was forfeiting. My second thought was that the governor had shown up behind us. I turned around too. Mostly so I wouldn't be the only guy facing the wrong way. They were waving at a building. There's a children's hospital right across the street. The top floor is big windows. And in the windows, little kids. Hospital gowns. A boy with an IV pole. A girl holding a sign over her head with both arms. I couldn't read it from there. Seventy thousand people waving at them. Then the players on the field turned around and waved. Then the other team's players. Then the refs. A minute, maybe. Then everybody sat back down and played football like nothing happened. I asked Kyle if it was a special day. "Every home game. Since 2017." "Who decided?" He thought about it. "Some mom posted it on Facebook, I think." No law. No committee. One mom on Facebook, and 70,000 people have done it every home game since. I don't remember much about the second quarter. I went back two weeks later. I turned around too early, before the whistle, and the man behind me put his hand on my shoulder. "Not yet, buddy." Then the whistle. A little boy on the 12th floor waved right at me. Kyle says you can't tell from that far. I could tell.
