The previous Altcoin seasons had a completely different narrative around them compared to today.
As crypto grows, we’re seeing institutions casually hopping in & integrating themselves into the ecosystem. That starts with Bitcoin.
Altcoins aren’t going to be their focus until later on, perhaps even the next bull run. Stick to the majors, and actually earn money this cycle instead of round tripping profits 🤝🚀
My biggest losses in crypto over the years (into the 7-figs range), hasn't been perp trading, hasn't been trenching, hasn't been memes, its been.... bag holding altcoins.
It doesn't matter the infrastructure, tokenomics, big VC backers or main character backers. Holding things that are -80% off the highs, can literally nuke another -80% upon entry.
Altcoins have always "looked" like an ideal beta play to bitcoin, but during then 2025 Bitcoin highs we learned that to be 100% untrue.
The story now becomes: "Will they ever have another alt-szn?"
My heart says yes, but it's really hard to say. With the extractions phase of memes, trenching and getting rich quick through streamers and cabals pushing like its easy, I find it hard to believe we ever see another one.
The game has changed. The believers in sound infrastructure within blockchain technology seem to be completely gone and now replaced w/ schizo trenchers who publicly stream they have insider information on launches and get $6M token allocations.
I hope this changes. Not only for the sake of the industry but for the devs who have poured their life's work into building within the cryptocurrency industry. They have been outshined by pictures of animals and serial deployers for way too long.
Liquidity and money is spread too thin. The ones who lost everything during prior drawdowns aren't willing to deploy more and have been replaced with a new influx of crypto money that is drawn to memecoin gambling.
How does this change? I have no fucking clue

Not like it was ever great… it’s fucken meme coins. But definitely deteriorating overtime
It’s why something like $ANSEM has so gone well
Meme coins have never been the same since the tsunami of utter nonsense that entered the space post 2021 or even later.
Not saying I didn’t take part in trading said utter nonsense or I won’t in the future, but you need to understand what you’re trading and how to manage risk.
I used to back the argument that meme coins were a net positive for the space (attention + inspiring new people to try out the tech). While that may be true, due to the sea of nonsense we now have - I just see it as a net negative / mostly extractive.
But purely from a trading pov, it’s just another instrument.
