In 2018, Brian Kemp ran for governor of Georgia. He was also the man running the election. As Secretary of State, his office had canceled nearly 670,000 voter registrations in 2017 alone. Then, weeks before Election Day, it froze 53,000 more under a rule called "exact match." A missing hyphen. A dropped initial. That was enough. Nearly 70% of those frozen applications belonged to Black Georgians, in a state that's about 32% Black. Stacey Abrams lost by about 55,000 votes. She didn't wait for the next race. She built Fair Fight and went to work in every one of Georgia's 159 counties. She recruited poll watchers, ran registration drives, and took the system to court. Georgia organizers registered more than 800,000 new voters. Two years later, Georgia went blue for president for the first time since 1992. Two months after that, it sent two Democrats to the U.S. Senate and handed them control of the chamber. Last night Jon Ossoff won re-election. Keisha Lance Bottoms became the first Democrat elected governor of Georgia since 1998. Tanya Miller became the state's first woman attorney general.

How about we get affordability and accountability??? It’s not that hard
Hakeem Jeffries on Morning Joe: The American people don't want us to get even. They want us to get things done on their behalf because life is way too expensive. We ran on affordability, we won on affordability, and now it's our job to govern on affordability.

So Elon spent more money in the mid terms than he did for 2024 elections and the Republicans got washed yesterday. Base on that fact alone, you can never convince they didn’t cheat in 2024. IDC how you feel about VP Harris and if she was the right one … she didn’t lose

This is amazing …. Now the question becomes what are the Democrats going to do with this control of the house and senate? The will of the people or the will of a foreign agent
🇺🇸 The U.S. midterm elections have made history. Democrats have taken control of both the U.S. House and Senate, and some of the results are almost unbelievable. Here's what happened: 1. Democrats flipped 6 Senate seats and 15 House seats, marking their largest Senate net gain since 2008. 2. Kansas elected Adam Hamilton, its first Democratic U.S. senator in 94 YEARS, defeating Republican Roger Marshall. 3. Texas elected James Talarico to the Senate, its first Democratic Senate victory since 1988, defeating Trump-backed Ken Paxton. 4. Abdul El-Sayed won the Michigan Senate race, becoming the first Muslim elected to the U.S. Senate. 5. Gina Hinojosa defeated Republican Greg Abbott, becoming Texas' first Democratic governor in more than 30 YEARS and its first Latina governor. 6. Democrats also flipped Senate seats in Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina and Iowa, including Sherrod Brown's comeback victory in Ohio. 7. Xavier Becerra defeated Steve Hilton to become California's first Latino governor since 1875. 8. Texas turned blue as Democrats swept all five major statewide races for the first time in decades. 9. Democrats made major gains in traditionally Republican states, including Texas, Kansas, South Carolina and Iowa, where Trump had won comfortably in 2024. The biggest issue for voters was the cost of living. High fuel prices, the Iran war and growing frustration over the economy played a major role in the results. This is one of the biggest shifts in American politics since the 2006 midterms.

Democrats will win big tonight then give their own voters the middle finger by appointing Hakeem Jeffries as Speaker and Chuck Schumer as Leader, and nothing will fundamentally change. This is how the duopoly works, which is why we need to topple the system.

Chainz sound like Stephen A Grift with the backpedalling
I got a chance to speak to Keith after the podcast and it was all love. I know my words offended some people and I apologize for that. What I said and what I meant were two different things. I could’ve done a better job getting my point across. Toni
