This was one of the most raw moments from the entire conversation... and it stayed with me.
You heard me right. I hope @PhilipAMitchell's prayer never gets answered.

@ChipotleTweets I just picked up an order from the Xenia Chipotle after ordering from the app. I ordered chips and they don’t have chips. The app is not giving me a refund. Plus, the Xenia chipotle is consistently the worst chipotle I’ve been to.

The Bible was written on three continents.
Asia.
Africa.
Europe.
In three languages.
Hebrew.
Aramaic.
Greek.
By over 40 different men:
Shepherds.
Kings.
Prophets.
Fishermen.
A tax collector.
A doctor.
A tentmaker.
Written in palaces and prisons.
In deserts and cities.
In freedom and in exile.
Across roughly 1,500 years.
66 books.
One continuous story:
Creation.
Fall.
Redemption.
Christ.
Most of these writers never met.
No committee planned it.
No editor stitched it together.
Yet it opens in a garden with the Tree of Life
and closes in a garden with the Tree of Life.
Different writers.
Different centuries.
Different cultures.
One voice.
Because behind the human hands was a divine Author.
Men held the pens.
But God wrote the story.

CS Lewis on why “dumb blue collar people” usually do not fall for the same terrible ideas that the “educated elite class” so often does:
“Why, you fool, it’s the educated readers who can be gulled. All our difficulty comes with the others. When did you meet a workman who believes the papers? He takes it for granted that they’re all propaganda and skips the leading articles. He buys his paper for the football results and the little paragraphs about girls falling out of windows and corpses found in Mayfair flats. He is our problem: we have to recondition him. But the educated public, the people who read the highbrow weeklies, don’t need reconditioning. They’re all right already. They’ll believe anything.”
– CS Lewis, That Hideous Strength
… Or Romans 1: “Claiming to be wise, they became fools.”

One of the best explanations of why Jesus had to die on the cross that I've ever heard. I've listened to apologetics content for 20+ years and have never heard this. Well done @howertonjosh
#Firefighters if we say we have the best job in the world why do so many actively tell their kids to avoid the profession?

@charlieputh my man, you’re out here doing Quincy, the Doobie Brothers, and Stevie Wonder. And I’m here for it. I just listened to your interview on Spotify. Thanks for opening up!

@Urskoenig I read your book radical humility and absolutely ate it up and loved it! I recently wrote a tiny book on success and quoted you in my book. For both books, I decided to develop apps for assessing.
I was able to develop an app to help people learn how to bring their creative writing and turn it into music. It’s about bringing human creativity to AI rather than relying on AI. Would love feedback!

This song by Elyse Meyers is one of the most vulnerable I’ve heard in a while. Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable when you write. Our suffering is what binds us. music.apple.com/us/album/don…

@goodkidband my kid and I went into a record store today in Portsmouth, Ohio, and he was thrilled to find good kid three! Picked up his first vinyl. Super excited. That got me thinking, as a songwriter, I have a song that I’d like to slide into your DMs and pitch to you.
I've got this little book I wrote on pursuing success—it's a quick 45-min read sharing stuff that's helped me along the way. If you're into that kinda thing, DM me for a free PDF! (Just leave an honest review on Amazon afterward!) #SuccessChat #BookShare #Success #Motivation
“There is no such thing as perfect; But there is such a thing as unacceptable.”
~Prince
What music would you label “unacceptable”?
For me, right off the bat, anything Tyler Hubbard.
This vocal is like if someone woke Billy Corgan up and he was half asleep still and somebody put a microphone in front of him and said “go!“ There’s something very haunting about this vocal. You don’t normally see an indie artist to put this much emotion in.
A bit of an existential crisis thematically inspired, by (in my opinion), some Beatles White Album era stuff. I like the panned acoustic in the right channel. It feels nice.
