Israel killed this little angel and her mother in Gaza today. Israel dropped a bomb on the tent they had sought refuge in, in Khan Younis.

This is the finest video I've ever seen about adults who grew up in care accessing their child care files. Two of them take it in turns to talk us through their experience: Danish, with English subtitles: The right to your own history youtu.be/z8b5Zgi2M9g?si=W0ll… via @YouTube

SHOCKING moment Alex Armstrong realises that British public opinion on Israel is the LOWEST it has ever been. None of your lies work anymore! The propaganda is FINISHED! You make a mockery of antisemitism and it is a disgrace!
SHOCKING moment in the studio as a self-identifying communist told us that she would NOT condemn Hamas and went on to say British people support Bob Vylan. I don’t think the vast, vast majority of Brits support antisemitism or blatant racism.

Firstly, Happy #Windrush77 Today we celebrate people from The Caribbean who were invited to rebuild Britain after World War II. DO NOT forget those who are STILL waiting for compensation after being wrongfully treated like illegal immigrants by the Home Office. #WindrushDay

We've been calling for this move for a long time, and working with @mhclg to make it happen. So it's great to see that care leavers will be able to access social housing wherever they live from this summer πŸ™Œ

It’s world Sickle Cell Day today. Both of my children have the trait and I’ve had to speak to them about what it means to them and how it will affect their lives. Raising awareness one mind at a time.

Today, more starving Palestinians were lured into β€œaid distribution sites”. They went in hope that they might find a bag of flour. They were gunned down and murdered instead. What utter inhumanity. End all arms sales to Israel, now.

Historically, abuse in children’s homes has involved white, middle-class men. The Catholic Church has faced serious allegations involving white religious leaders. In other cases, such as the grooming gang scandals, the majority of perpetrators have been Pakistani Muslim men. These facts must be acknowledged without fear or bias. But let us be absolutely clear: the common thread is not race, religion, or classβ€”it is that these individuals were predators who targeted and destroyed the lives of children. They are all paedophiles. The focus must remain on protecting children, boys and girls , holding perpetrators accountableβ€”regardless of backgroundβ€”and working together across communities and institutions to prevent abuse and ensure justice.

The appallingly comments made by Cllr Andy Osborn about children in care are doing the rounds. As far as I’m concerned, his words don’t deserve any airtime. So here’s an extract from Free Loaves on Fridays, by @samuptonn, which boldly tells those who need educating who we are.
