Before a trial was even set. The purpose of a preliminary hearing is to see if there's probable cause & SUFFICIENT EVIDENCE to send a case to trial. Shawn Holley herself requested Tory Lanez dismissal for INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE of a crime of assault with firearm being committed.

A reminder since people seem to have selective memory when it comes to lawsuits: Megan Thee Stallion, is currently a defendant in TWO active civil lawsuits. β€’ Emilio Garcia: her former cameraman alleges unpaid wages, labour violations, a hostile work environment, sexual harassment, fat-shaming comments and retaliation after raising concerns about his treatment and pay. β€’ Six K/Eric Archibald: alleges more than $1.2M in unpaid wardrobe and styling fees for services provided in connection with Megan and her career, with the dispute also involving allegations surrounding invoices and payments. It seems a lawsuit filed by Michelle Shore against Roc Nation Management, LLC and Roc Nation, LLC has gone under the radar for months since it was filed on October 28, 2024. Michelle, a personal assistant to a high-profile celebrity, claims she faced disability discrimination and retaliation after working grueling hours, up to 16 hours a day for 57 days straight during a music tour. She says the extreme workload led to impaired vision and sleep deprivation, prompting her to contact HR head Marissa Valero and President Desiree Perez about her health concerns and request a day off. One example she cited was being required to be in two places at once, such as flying the celebrity’s French Bulldog to New York City for an Amazon photoshoot while simultaneously packing and moving all of the celebrity’s belongings from Beverly Hills to Miami. Shortly after, she was fired, with the reason given being that she was β€œreleased from [her] position because [she] left the tour.” Michelle is seeking damages for lost wages, emotional distress, and more, and has demanded a jury trial. The case includes causes of action for disability discrimination, retaliation under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, and retaliation under the California Labor Code. This case seems very similar to the one filed by Emilio Garcia, against Megan Thee Stallion/Roc Nation. I’m not saying this is her, because the paperwork does not mention Megan specifically. But I don’t know of any other Roc Nation artists with French bulldogs who supposedly moved from California to Miami. It seems like Roc Nation is trying to force arbitration, according to the docket entries. A hearing is scheduled for 6/26/2025
