I sadly got rid of my CDs & vinyl, but I found a bunch of old tapes - including the GD (my initials) mixtape series, where I would pull songs from multiple radio shows. I would type/print the tracklist & do it monthly. Spent countless hours doing this. A true labour of love 🤣🤣

🎧NOW PLAYING🎧 "YFRWN 11" by Sayzee I had folks telling me to check out Sayzee last year and I never got around to it and I gotta say I'm mad at myself for sleeping. I've peeped two of the projects he's dropped this year and dude is one of the nicest MCs and definitely my fav "new" MC I've heard this year. He just dropped this and it's 45mins and 18 tracks with features from Asun Eastwood, Jamal Gasol & Lord Juco. Love hearing MCs from the Toronto area with this type of talent and he's quickly placed himself with Daniel Son & Asun as must hear MCs from Toronto. Bout to press play.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan

We are so back

Toronto Legend! Let's go!

💿RECORD REVIEW💿 4 out of 5 (Excellent) Man, Nickelus F really is one of the dopest. He's rapping so fucking well on this shit, not to mention he did all the production, and there are some absolute bangers on here. "Tiamat", "The Leg Drop" and "Duffle" are all insanely ill, super highs on an album full of really good records. Thought he went 9 for 13 on here. He's now dropped easily 2 of the 10 best albums I've listened to this year. If you aren't up on Nickelus F yet, get on it bc this dude is one of the best doing it.

The original draft class cover vs the one below

Edan has one the illest voices for an MC.

🎧NOW PLAYING🎧 "Hardbody" by Nickelus F The second project from Nickelus F in 2026, dropping just a couple months after the excellent The Undisputed. His last few releases have been crazy, and if this one lands anywhere near the level of The Undisputed or Mmcht and he stays rapping at the level he has been, he’s making a serious push toward being in my Top 10 MCs right now. Features from Rome Streetz and Blu certainly don't hurt either. Anyone checked this one out yet?

What I will say, regardless of order, I think all these are 4 mic albums or better 1) Marcberg 2) Reloaded 3) The Elephant Man's Bones 4) Pimpire Strikes Back 5) Marcielago 6) Behold A Dark Horse 7) Rosebudd's Revenge 8) Mt. Marci 9) Marciology 10) RR2: The Bitter Dose 11) Marci Beaucoup 12) The Skeleton Key 13) The Coldest Profession 14) 656

💿RECORD REVIEW💿 3 out of 5 (Good, worth checking out) I thought this was a cool record. Mooch continues to be one of the better emerging MCs in the underground, and the same can be said for Real Bad Man on the production side. 4 of the 10 tracks ended up as repeaters for me, with "Things We Lost" and "Chrome Nickel" being the clear standouts. Every track was solid though, so it’s not that the others are misses, I just don’t see myself revisiting them. Overall, a good listen and definitely worth checking out.

🎧NOW PLAYING🎧 "Terminator Shit" by Real Bad Man & Mooch. This dropped a few weeks ago and definitely caught my attention. Been digging Real Bad Man's production and what Mooch does on the mic, so this feels like it should be right up my alley. Add in features from YOD, Nackman, and Boldy, and there's a lot to like on paper. About to give this one a spin - anyone checked it out yet?

💿RECORD REVIEW💿 2.5 out of 5 (Average) So as much as I'm a fan of all three of these MCs, this felt like a bit of a mess. The 3 of them were only on 4 of the 14 songs together, so it really wasn't what I was expecting. Each had a solo song, a bunch of Masta Killa x Kurupt songs, and some posse cuts with a few well-placed features and some seemingly random ones. The track I was most looking forward to was the one with G Rap & KRS, but this was the 3rd version of that song they'd released in the last couple years, so that was a bit of a bummer too. I'd say 6 of the 14 songs were solid, with "Rock Ya Body" being the standout. Overall, a pretty messy album that wasn't quite what I was hoping it'd be.

Gotta say Kurupt is extra Kurupt-y on here. I've lol'd a few times at the extreme levels of Kurupt we are exposed to on here. Most enjoyable part of the album.

🎧NOW PLAYING🎧 "DPG WU-TANG, WU-TANG DPG - THE GODBODY LP" The collaborative album from The 18th Letter x Young Gotti x The High Chief Jamal Irief. I've definitely been intrigued by this one since they started promoting it. Obviously, anything with Rakim is gonna get me to listen, but it just felt like such a random trio to pair together for a full-length album. Nonetheless, I'm excited to press play and see what they put together. Seen very little chatter about it on the TL. If you checked it, what did you think?
