Have gone over my process with a fine-tooth comb with the help of great people around me. Huge changes and I am already a different trader than I was just 2 weeks ago as a result of the outcome-driven review process. Changes below

Traders have been getting chopped up. @TheRRRGTrader says: why don’t you do a stack on this?
My first reaction: I’m risk averse. I’ve never boom and busted. I can’t write that stack!
But then I had to abandon my other stack ideas. The tests failed.
That reminded me of the PTJ quote (used at the start of the stack). And of my own biggest failures from the past: not as a trader, but in my primary field.
The one that truly changed my trajectory also came just as things were cruising like never before.
That made me realise I CAN write for those traders. Not about how to stop being a boom-and-bust trader — I’ll leave that to others — but about how you can later look back at that failure, and recognise it as your turning point.
My own biggest failures were as a writer. But bouncing back from them made me better. Not just as a writer, but also as a trader and person.
The very fact you choose to learn from your failures, rather than give up, builds your character in a way that victory never will.
After a phenomenal run in April and May, too many traders have given back their gains during the recent choppy environment.
So, I spent today writing a stack for them (which, as usual, will be published Saturday, 10 am BST).
From the title and subtitle, you can already see the direction of my message…

The Iran peace deal is reportedly done. Crude is breaking down. $QQQ is making fresh all-time highs into Tuesday's open.
The market digestion resolved to the upside in short order, breakouts are working and the breadth is improving.

FYI I have not been on social media but I just know how crazy it probably is out there.
just a reminder to focus on what YOU need to do. doesnt matter what your neighbour is doing. What weaknesses do YOU need to work on to get you to level up? or to get you out of a hole?
or to prove something to yourself and your system?
this is not about what you think the market will do etc, its about following your system or process
its about small incremental improvements toward your goals, no matter how small they might look compared to him, him or her
Trading is like Mario Kart Time Trials
Next checkpoint?
Understanding the swing cycle and what you can expect for the next x period of time helps with cope, anxiety and general well being 😅
your mental health timeframe is the timeframe you expose youreself to. are you really trading an hourly chart if youre checking the hourly chart every 5 minutes, or is that the 5min mental timeframe 😅

Problem: feeling frantic, lost and anxious at the market
Cause: no plan/thesis/roadmap
Solution: Some ideas for you below
Some caveats: I am just a dumb long only trader. I just show up when it’s “obvious”. I can’t catch every 3-5 day burst up and down. I just like the momo shitcos. This might be too simple for some but it’s good for dumb old me.
