I called the agent of a veteran coach to see if Jerry Jones had even picked up the phone and poked around on him during the Schottenheimer hiring cycle and he laughed and said “Jerry won’t pay 13M and up and that’s the starting point”
It’s well known and well documented just surprised he actually finally said it on record today.
"We need to trade Dak!" For those who are looking to go the cheaper route (Because Im tired of hearing about $60M): Lets say you pay your next QB (After you trade Dak) $20M in 2027 and 2028. You would be paying your new QB $20M while also paying Dak $76M in 2027 and $86M in 2028. Your Owner/GM won't even pay over $5M for your Head Coach but you expect him to pay a player who's no longer on the team $76M and $86M while paying the other guy $40M over two years, too?! Thats a total of $96M, one year and $106M the next on the QB position, ALONE! All because yall "tired" of Dak Prescott!

Some Cowboys fans will complain that the QB makes $60M a year but won't say a damn word that the Head Coach only makes $4.5M!!! Cowboys Nation, your ownership was in "Win Now" mode with their roster acquisitions and movement but in "Experiment Mode" with their coaching staff!
If youre in "Win Now" mode, you hire a Win now coaching staff and not first timers!! If this organization wants to win a championship, its not gonna come cheap! This isn't the 90's, anymore! If you want Championship results, its gonna cost more than $4.5M a year!
