FT! 2-0! Really solid, professional performance. Got themselves ahead early and then managed it smartly. Can't remember Colchester having a shot in the second half. Important and deserved win #ntfc

FT! Cobblers win 2-0! Finally an away league win in 2026. Deserved it after an excellent first half. Final 30+ minutes a non-event after Pruti's horrible injury #ntfc northamptonchron.co.uk/sport…

A very exciting day as we officially announce our ownership of @NTFC. A truly unique moment, and one that marks a historic chapter for football. New leather. Same soul. #ShoeArmy

Robert Palmer died in the early hours of the morning on this day in 2003 at age 54 from a heart attack while on a short break in Paris with his partner, Mary Ambrose. In my opinion, this is his greatest work.

Well said. Who wouldn't have taken this back in April? Can look back with immense pride on the season 👏

@NorthantsCCC very much behind the 8 ball after day one. A sublime Ryan Higgins ton and a staunch 50 from Ben Geddes very much the difference. But this view at the close of play very much worth it! We go again tomorrow! @oldmanradd @GrahamMcKechnie @CountyChamp @TheRealCase

A huge thank you to our Craig Harvey and his team for all of their incredible efforts throughout the season👏 We've had fantastic wickets all year round and without them, cricket at the cinch County Ground wouldn't be possible 🫶

Worrying when it’s not just the lack of quality it’s the decision making too. Opoku in space in the box doesn’t shoot, not putting corners straight in and it always breaking down, no urgency, negative throws all the time, not leaving a player up 0-1 down with 5/10 to go. Awful!

If they call this off and deny Northants promotion everyone in the county should go down to Lords with ghetto blasters and play “Baby, when the lights go out” by Five at full volume all day outside the ECB umpires offices!
Frustration for Northants at the County Ground… game against Derbyshire controversially halted by the umpires for bad light with the County 23 runs from victory. Decision met with loud boos from spectators. Players still off the field with very light rain falling #nccc

Always used to be down to the batsmen whether to accept the offer of bad light. Now it’s just down to the umpires. Very disappointing and likely to cost us promotion. .

If the Country are prepared to bat in bad light surely there shouldn’t be a decision to make, or is that making too much sense. The whole season could depend on 23 runs ( disgusting decision 🤬 )
