In 2011, Arsene Wenger told UEFA to look into Manchester City, claiming their sponsorship with Etihad was not credible. Current FIFA president, Gianni Infantino fixed the previous investigation so Manchester City would only receive a fine. Arsene Wenger was told to never speak about the situation again or he’d be fined. 15 years later…. Arsene knew. FULL ARTICLE: nowarsenal.com/latest-news/g…

The Prime Minister has been groomed for many many years by the Man City owners, in my opinion. I'd guess that they have invested in him to get into the position he is currently in. They saw this storm coming and this was always part of the game, part of the plan.

I'm all for a discussion changing and modernising the FFP rules but this isn't an excuse for false accounting, cheating. Let's not be gaslit.

Fook me. They’ve been found guilty of funnelling almost £1bn into the accounts. This is up there with one of the largest financial frauds you’ll see, and led to on field success, increased revenues, player retention and acquisition. This is much bigger than many could comprehend!
🚨🚨🚨 Premier League v Manchester City decision ruling details how club misstated finances in a nine-year period from 2009-18 by £920.7million Revenue overstated by £854.5m Expenditure understated by £66.2m

Judging from the fury directed at the so called ‘red cartel’ by City fans, you’d think it was #Arsenal #Liverpool & #United who’d been cooking City’s books, inflating sponsorship deals and refusing to engage with the enquiry, rather than their own club’s owners. Allegedly. #COYG

Remember, when the government talks about misinformation they were the ones lying to you about Covid every single day for months and months. They partied and laughed at you behind your backs while you walked round supermarkets in one way systems with a useless mask on.

Bare media outlets and journalists need to apologise to Arsene Wenger cos the nonsense they were saying while he had to sell his best players every summer post Emirates move while others were legit flouting the books and inflating revenue streams to spend all sorts is crazy

Arsène Wenger: 🗣️ “There was a time we had £90 million turnover and we had to pay back £22 million per year for the stadium. I couldn’t sleep because we had to qualify for the Champions League to pay back the money.” 🗣️ “We had to sell our best players. Other clubs came in with lots of money but we were on the same level from 2007 to 2016.” This is why so many Arsenal fans will forever defend Wenger. While rivals were spending freely, Arsenal were carrying the weight of the Emirates project. Every summer meant losing key players and finding ways to remain competitive enough to secure Champions League football. 🔴 Sold stars 🔴 Balanced the books 🔴 Built a world-class stadium 🔴 Kept Arsenal among Europe’s elite Wenger didn't just manage Arsenal through that era. He carried the club through one of the most difficult financial periods in its history. The trophies are part of his legacy. But so is the fact that Arsenal emerged from that period stronger, financially stable and ready to compete again. Arsène Wenger was talking about “financial doping” years ago. He was mocked, dismissed and accused of being bitter because Arsenal weren’t winning anymore. Now Manchester City have been found guilty of the vast majority of the Premier League’s financial charges. I hope the apologies are as loud as the disrespect was back then. Without Wenger's sacrifices, there is no Arsenal of today.

🚨🎙️| Arsene Wenger slams Manchester City over 114 breaches and calls for the club to be relegated to League Two 🗣️“Let’s be honest about what happened to Arsenal. For years, Arsenal were being told to compete with Manchester City. Spend wisely. Build properly. Follow the rules. Develop players. Be patient. Meanwhile, we’re now sitting here talking about Manchester City being found guilty on 114 of the 115 Premier League charges brought against them. And people still want Arsenal fans to act like none of that mattered? How are you supposed to look at Arsenal’s title battles with City and not ask questions? Arsenal spent years chasing a team that was allegedly breaking financial rules while building one of the strongest squads English football has ever seen. And then Arsenal fans are told, ‘You should have beaten them.’ Beat them with what? Arsenal were trying to build within the rules while City were allegedly operating outside them. If those breaches affected how that team was constructed, then you can’t simply erase that context from the history of those title races. There were Arsenal players, managers and supporters giving everything to win the Premier League while City were winning trophies year after year. So yes, I’m angry. Because Arsenal could have had more. And if the findings ultimately show that those breaches materially affected competitive sporting outcomes, then the Premier League has to take that seriously. You cannot tell every other club to respect the rules and then treat violations at this scale like a parking ticket. If the punishment is severe enough, so be it. Relegation? Points deductions? Titles being reviewed? Whatever the independent process determines under the rules should be dealt with properly. But one thing Arsenal fans are allowed to say is this: WE SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAD TO COMPETE AGAINST A CLUB ACCUSED OF THIS SCALE OF FINANCIAL BREACHES IN THE FIRST PLACE. And City fans can laugh all they want. But if Arsenal lost Premier League titles by the smallest margins while competing against a team now found guilty of 114 charges, you cannot expect Gunners to just shrug and say: ‘Ah well, football is football.’ NO. If the rules were broken, there have to be consequences. And if the consequences are serious enough to send Manchester City down the divisions, then so be it. Arsenal didn’t fail to compete. Maybe Arsenal were competing in a competition where the playing field wasn’t as level as everyone thought.”

A guy bought a $1,800 Samsung TV and watched it for 3 years. Netflix. YouTube. Sports. Movies. Every night. Same screen. Same picture. He thought it looked fine. He assumed that's just what a TV looks like. His friend, a home theater installer who calibrates 200+ TVs a year across luxury homes came over to watch a fight one Saturday night. He sat on the couch, looked at the screen for about 5 seconds, and said: "You're in Vivid mode." "What's Vivid mode?" "It's the picture setting Samsung puts on every TV so it pops under the fluorescent lights at Best Buy. Maximum brightness. Oversaturated colors. Artificial sharpness cranked to 50. It's designed to catch your eye on a showroom wall next to 60 other TVs not for watching content in a living room. You've been watching a Best Buy demo reel on your couch for 3 years." He picked up the remote and started going through Settings. "Your skin tones are orange. Your motion smoothing is making every movie look like a soap opera. The eco mode is dimming your brightness by 40% during dark scenes. The sharpness filter is adding digital noise to every frame. Your HDMI ports are blocking HDR from your streaming stick. Your TV is taking screenshots of your screen and selling your viewing data. And Bixby has been listening through the remote's microphone since the day you plugged this in." He changed 9 settings in 11 minutes. The guy looked at the screen and said "did you buy me a new TV while I wasn't looking?" His friend said: "Same TV. Same panel. Same $1,800 you spent 3 years ago. Samsung builds incredible displays and then ships them with settings designed for a retail store, not your living room. Nobody tells you to change them because Samsung makes money from the defaults you leave untouched." Here's every setting he changed 🧵

So basically, @ManCity would be able to financially dope their way out of punishment, having faced punishment for financial doping. @premierleague you are an embarrassment to the game.
Exclusive: The Premier League is proposing to allow clubs to negotiate settlements for breaches of its financial rules rather than automatically having to face a disciplinary commission. The plan will be put to a vote at its annual meeting next month. news.sky.com/story/mark-klei…
