💡WEEK 7 | SPOTLIGHT REPORT Dallas Preston @TheReal_DP_ Lovejoy High School @leopardfootball LB 6'0 210 Lbs. C/O 2027 This linebacker has consistent explosiveness, with awareness and assignment control that give his burst a purpose. The blocked punt off the top of the reel shows his snap anticipation, timing his get off and accelerating quickly to the block point. At :07, I like that he does not reveal his assignment early. He gets vertical after the snap, establishes outside leverage and maintains it through the finish. There is control in how he attacks, putting himself in position to affect the play without giving up his responsibility. His zone coverage rep at :27 adds another look at his feel for the game. It starts with pre snap communication, then watch his eyes as the route develops into his area. He stays connected to the quarterback while feeling the receiver’s movement, positioning himself to challenge the throw. His athletic ability helps him close that remaining space and disrupt the ball at the catch point. What stands out across these reps is how quickly he can act while staying aware of the assignment. He can attack the snap, hold leverage and work into a passing window, showing several ways to turn his explosiveness into a defensive contribution.
