Part of his mistake is in his hurry to get to the line and signal the ref he never actually looked to see where the ball was until he was set and by then it was too late.
On Jameson Williams' illegal formation, he clearly was lined up on the LOS (covering up the tight end, so the right call), but it's interesting to see that he was trying to get the ref's attention the entire time pre-snap.

This is phenomenal journalism.
“I don’t want to be just sitting there for two years vetoing everything.” President Donald Trump picked up a call from @DashaBurns on POLITICO Elections Live and talked to us about the blue wave and how he’s willing to work with incoming congressional Democrats.  Watch live now: politi.co/4AgCofb

One thing he has over most of them is experience Milton 639 career pass attempts Richardson 393 career pass attempts Sellers 815 and counting Green certainly had more. Sellers is an exciting developmental prospect. Turns 22 in June m, one year of eligibility remaining.
Sellers has elite tools… but we’ve seen this story so many times before (Joe Milton, Anthony Richardson, Taylen Green, etc). Highly talented QBs who lack some of the other marquee traits requisite for playing the position at the NFL level. Obviously, you have to take a swing on him as a QB prospect and see if an NFL coaching staff can develop his deficiencies, but he’s a third-round prospect or later, at this point..

This is Yaxel Lendeborg. He’s a SF with the same wingspan as Giannis that can legitimately defend guards and bigs. He can shoot. He is a creator. He can pass. He’s a good rebounder. His game rises as the stakes do. His defect is he’s 23 because players get paid in college now.

Never been a fan of bringing on extra OL unless that’s your identity. If you’re a run first team. That’s the issue with UM offense. It has zero identity and that starts with the play caller. You have to design an offense around the strengths of the players you have and adapt your scheme to that. Today was very frustrating as UM has talent but it doesn’t appear cater to the strengths of the personnel. The offense seldom threatens the defense downfield vertically. The lack of QB movement to sprint or boot on 1/2 down is a head scratcher. Lastly, when you insert an extra OL in the game you are giving the defense one less player to worry about in the pass game. Situationally that’s fine from time to time but UM leans WAY too much on it.

Please reply to this tweet about how much you hate the 24 team playoff and in 5 years i'll save the replies and show you how foolish you were.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Danny Kanell himself said “going past 12 teams in 2 years feels rushed and irrational” in July 2025 while criticizing a smaller format (16 teams) than the 24 team format x.com/dannykanell/st…

Hot take: I miss when winning a bowl game was a great season. College football is infected with people that believe national championships are the only metric of success, and I just think that silly and detrimental to the long-term health of the sport.

Context does change that he was wrong.
Context Matters! Before coming at Coach Gray for ending the interview early please watch the entire event and see how a fight was avoided. It absolutely sucks that Symone's interview got cut short but context does matter.

Avery Gach took 25 out of 49 snaps at RHINO. Zach Marshall was blocking on 7 of his 9 snaps (3 pass block) Jordan Marshall, 9 of his 29 snaps, pass blocking. All this extra blocking and Bryce was pressured on 35% of dropbacks and Michigan couldn't consistently run the ball.

Yes I did. I always hated it when it lacked the additional package required to keep teams honest. The pass by Underwood was outstanding. Loved that. But the addition of the Rhino hurts the possibilities.
So everyone who hates this call… did you hate this call when Jim did it with Jabrill Peppers?? Did you hate it in 21 with Haskins?? Or do you just hate it now cause it doesn’t work?? Be honest
