VRF based consensus will help decrease the costs of coordination, therefore improving the block finalization. Moreover, VRF based validator selection process will make it much harder to analyze traffic and profile the validators. Thus, by integrating VRF based consensus protocol to an already incentivized and Byzantine Fault Tolerant network, Beldex will increase the unpredictability of its network behavior.
