I'll fucking bite. A thread about making female characters in games. This idiot/grifter/probably-feigning-outrage-doughboy really doesn't seem to get it, even apparently *as* a developer. TLDR: making the nuances of a gentler face can be a real tough one in game art.

The toothbrush botnet story may not be true, but it is very good. #cyberpunk

In @peregrinekiwi's The Sprawl, each of the players (including GM) design one of the main antagonist factions he party will foil against. This is done during group character creation so everyone is much more invested in their unique game than when the GM does that work alone.

I love the Powered by the Apocalypse system, specifically in @TheSprawl_RPG but in several other iterations; simple to teach, centers the story in the mechanics and fast paced without feeling simplistic

I cannot believe I need to write any of this. @gamefound @BackerKit @Kickstarter @mythicgames
Mythic Games sent me 2 ads yesterday for a game they are bringing to crowdfunding soon. I cannot believe the unmitigated gall this maneuver required. They failed to send many backers half the items for Darkest Dungeon and so far no items for 6: Siege or Monsterpocalypse. They owe some backers 1000 dollars of undelivered pledges and they want to start a new campaign? Enough is enough. If the platforms want to be taken seriously they need to put an end to this. Do not let Mythic Games take more money until they have honored their current liabilities. To continue to support this would look bad for your platform and for the game industry as a whole. Allowing a company to abuse customers, will drive people away from crowdfunding. As someone that livelihood partially depends on these platforms for their livelihood, I am asking you to remove them from your platform. And if Mythic Games is reading this. How dare you. I had resolved not to comment on this situation, but really stepped in it

Jesse has released a PoD version of his cybergothic setting for The Sprawl: Necropolis. It's Dark City meets Bram Stoker meets Johnny Mnemonic and it's excellent.

I've been thinking about the settings recently, including those in The November Metric, Necropolis, and the third party stuff by @whodo_voodoo and @KhelrenAbsinthe. I think I smell a game coming...

This is technically a story about Keanu, but it hits so hard today anyway bc it pulls into focus that despite being a celebrity, Reddick was not some abstract being, but a particular person, who like us wants validation and friendship, and who was in this moment lucky to be loved

I often think about this story Lance Reddick told about working with Keanu on the newest Wick movie
