“You will always struggle with not feeling productive until you accept that your own joy can be something you produce. It is not the only thing you will make, nor should it be, but it is something valuable and beautiful.” - @hankgreen, A Beautifully Foolish Endeavour.

When talking about our agendas for the day, I told my 5yo I was a little nervous about a meeting I have today. He said, “Mama, I am nervous all the time. I know what to do.” So friends, here is all the advice he could fit into the drive to school:

(FWIW I’m aiming to move to $120k soon bc I haven’t taken a raise in a very long time, but generally owners of a company should go last and prioritize sustainability. Also we moved to a four-day workweek this year and for me that is worth one billion dollars lol)
Stop perpetuating racist stereotypes. Libels are bad. Support your community. This really isn’t rocket science. Thread:

CW: Colleyville hostage situation. I have been thinking on the event at the Beth Israel Congregation, the cultural impact, the senseless reasoning behind the hostage-taking, and why in 2022 there is still the need to inform the world that Jews are just people, like you and me.

We're all excited for summer hangs but let's remember the little trauma landmines built up from the last 14 months that are going to set off at random moments and give people the space and support they need

Who’s ready for a scavenger hunt? Some socially distanced fun in the sun? Tomorrow & Saturday. 12PM. We will be scattering 5 of these around Victoria each day. 🎁 2 of them are worth $25. 🤔 But which ones were they again... We’ll update here once they have all been placed!
