Would have been an interesting matchup. Piontek drew defending Chinese national champ Felix Liu in the first round.

Disappointing off-season news as Luke Piontek failed to make weight this am for his chess match at 8 pm tonight. Luke was attempting to compete at the 162 lb division in a 16-man round robin. Interesting to note he chose not to use Mike Kerns as his camp nutritionist.
