When I first heard about SpaceX potentially merging with Tesla, I was very against it.
Then I became open to the idea only if Tesla shares got a massive premium.
Then a small premium…
Now I just want the merger to happen ASAP, even if it means no premium.
Well played, Elon.
After messing around with Grok @bot, I can actually see more and more of a case for SpaceX making a phone.
So many limitations with connecting apps and knowing things about your life/work that could be eliminated if a phone was designed from the ground up with AI/Grok bot at the center of the system.
A main reason Elon’s utopia of “send your personal car out into the fleet to make you money while you’re not using it” was never going to work.
Cybercab smelled like smoke 🤢😷😷😷
Please don't smoke in the Robotaxis
@robotaxi XVF2567 might wanna check who rode in that this morning 🤢🤢🤢
It is simply amazing that within a 5 minute visit to reddit, one can see several euphemistic calls to assassination of a myriad of people. And these are popular, upvoted posts - and even in subs that nominally have nothing to do with politics.
Once again, how is this allowed? How is reddit not shut down? Or swarmed by the FBI? Or at the very least, every person making these posts visited by law enforcement.
These are not niche, buried comments in some dark web server. This is a publicly traded social media site that is actively fomenting violence in its most mainstream feedback mechanism.
This will not end well unless political and legal action is taken against the people posting these things at a minimum, and ideally, at the entire website.
Is anyone else concerned that Tesla’s “generalized solution” to self-driving is just following the same pre-map big city > geofence > slowly roll out plan that everyone else is doing? Wasn’t the promise to “flip a switch” and enable robotaxis across the country over night? Is anyone who lives in a metro area <600,000 people going to get robotaxis realistically in the next 5+?
Here is the updated $TSLA Cybercab spotting in the US.
24/50 states and in 88 cities!
Literally 20 days later and Tesla enters 2 new states & 32 new cities!
It’s funny, AI leaders have been saying that AI will completely replace huge swaths of jobs in the next 2-5 years for a couple of years now. Elon even saying that Optimus will be better than the best surgeon 3 years from now.
I’m sorry, but are these people stupid? It only takes a little bit of thought and mental modeling of how the real world works to come to the conclusion that absolutely none of that will happen in those time frames. The economy, and more importantly people, have a huge amount of inertia.
Even if a truly perfect ASI humanoid robot started rolling off of the production lines today, it would take years to propagate throughout the economy.
It takes a lot of work to diffuse new technologies to lower and more common strata of people. We have seen this with every breakthrough technology. Yes, AI is advancing faster than most so it probably won’t take the 20-25 years it normally takes for a technology to reach maturity. But 2-5 years is ridiculous. Only now are people like Sam Altman admitting this. How did I figure this out before them? Am I smarter than him? No. It just shows how much of a bubble they are in.
For those that are new here, welcome to Tesla earnings week - where Tesla will accomplish one small "achievement" sometime before earnings (usually the weekend before) a singular time so that they can put it in the slide deck, use it to placate the shareholder questions during the call, and never replicate or scale that achievement again for the foreseeable future.
It is beyond imperative that X allows us to filter posts by country. The amount of foreign influence slop posts is to the point of an actual psyop. It needs to be stopped for national sanity.
Can the government investigate and shut down reddit already? Almost every remotely political thread openly calls for violence and execution of people. And these comments are upvoted.
How is this allowed to continue going on? How do they still have servers and advertisers?
Wasn’t Parker blacklisted from the internet for 1/1000 of what is on reddit?
Ah, $TSLA earnings day. Where the report makes you want to sell and the call makes you want to buy.
It is becoming exhausting how many of the biggest Tesla "influencer" account's worldviews, opinions, and ideas are literally just a 1:1 copy of Elon's.
Is this just for engagement or do people actually think Elon is completely 100% correct on everything?
Reading comments about Robotaxi on reddit is like landing on an alien planet.
It’s not that they doubt the technology or have criticisms, they are absolutely foaming at the mouth at the demise of Tesla.
Like, these people need serious mental help.
