THROWBACK THURSDAY Before the Quad looked as it does today.
Before Old Main fell.
Before the world was at war. Circa 1909, the Aggie Band and the Corps of Cadets marched to mess in disciplined formation — boots striking the dirt roads of a young campus still finding its shape. In the distance stands Old Main, the great Victorian academic building that defined Texas A&M from 1876 until its demolition in 1912. Its presence anchors this moment in time — a Corps barely thirty years removed from the founding of the College. To the right, tents stand among early dormitories — a reminder that enrollment was growing and the Corps expanding. In this era, every Aggie was a cadet. There was no separation between student and soldier-scholar. The Corps was the student body. The uniforms were different. The road was unpaved. The trees were young. But the discipline, unity, and standard were already set. From 1909 to today, generations have stood on the same ground, carried the same commitment, and upheld the same core values of leadership, honor, and selfless service. That legacy is not inherited lightly. It is carried forward — one formation at a time. #ThrowbackThursday #AggieTraditions

One march. Many cadets. A shared commitment to something greater than themselves. 🇺🇸 This past weekend’s March-In brought together the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, Texas A&M Galveston cadets, and cadets from The Citadel in a powerful display of tradition, unity, and pride. Different uniforms, different paths, but a shared dedication to leadership, service, and excellence. A great reminder that the bonds of service and the values of honor, courage, and commitment extend far beyond any one campus. Gig ’em, Aggies! 👍

Old Army Night 2026 🤝💥 There is nothing quite like bringing the Corps family back together. Old Army Night once again expanded our Friday-before-Rally tradition with an evening on the Rec Center balcony filled with good food, cold beverages, music, and a great view overlooking Kyle Field. It was a chance to visit, reminisce, laugh, and reconnect with former Corps classmates, CCA supporters, and friends old and new. This annual gathering honors the bonds, stories, and Old Army spirit that continue to tie us together. Gig’em!👍

The sun is barely up and the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band is already out here practicing again and again until it’s perfect. Nobody sees this part. They just see the finished product on game day – the precision, the sound, the tradition. But excellence isn’t born under the lights. It’s built in mornings like this one. That’s what makes the Aggie band different from all the rest. Gig’em and Let’s BTHO LSU.🎵🥁🎺

The scoreboard didn’t fall our way Saturday, but there are some things Aggieland never loses. 🇺🇸👍 From the Yell Leaders and the thunder of a helicopter flyover to the Color Guard, Parsons Mounted Cavalry, and the sights and sounds of the Corps on game day — Kyle Field was full of the traditions that make Texas A&M unlike anywhere else. And then there was halftime. The Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band did what the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band does best: win halftime. 🎺🥁 It was also a memorable weekend for the Corps as Secretary of War Pete Hegseth visited Aggieland, addressed the Corps of Cadets, and joined the game-day activities at Kyle Field. Wins and losses come and go. The traditions, the service, the pride, and the people who carry them forward endure. That’s the Spirit of Aggieland. Gig ’em! 👍🇺🇸

As a Texas A&M Ross Volunteer approaches the Missing Man Table and renders a solemn salute, every item before him carries meaning: 🌹 The red rose represents the families and loved ones who keep the faith while awaiting their return. 🎗️The yellow ribbon represents our continued determination to account for those who are missing. 🍋 The lemon reminds us of their bitter fate. 🧂 The salt represents the tears shed by their families and loved ones. 🕯️ The candle represents hope for their return. 🥃 The inverted glass reminds us they cannot raise a toast with us. 🍽️ The empty chair and place setting represent those who are missing and cannot be with us. ⬜ The white tablecloth symbolizes the purity of their intentions in answering their nation’s call to serve. On National POW/MIA Recognition Day, we pause to honor our nation’s prisoners of war and those who remain missing in action. Their place remains empty. Their sacrifice is remembered. You are not forgotten. 🇺🇸

A game day painted red, white and blue. 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙 This weekend’s Red, White & Blue Game against Arizona State brought together so much of what makes Texas A&M special: the Corps of Cadets marching with pride, the precision of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, Parsons Mounted Cavalry, flags flying throughout Kyle Field, and thousands of Aggies coming together in a powerful display of patriotism and tradition. As we gathered beneath the red, white and blue, we also remembered the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honored the courage and sacrifice of the first responders, service members, and countless Americans whose lives were forever changed that day. From the Quad to Kyle Field, the sights and sounds of game day celebrated our country, our traditions, and the generations of Aggies who continue to carry them forward. For the Corps of Cadets Association, it’s an honor to support the cadets who help bring these traditions to life and who continue to lead with excellence, service, and the Aggie Core Values. A day of remembrance. A celebration of unity. And a proud display of the red, white and blue. 🇺🇸 Gig ’em! 👍

Precision and excellence don’t happen overnight. They’re built one practice, one movement and one repetition at a time. Right now, the Texas A&M Fish Drill Team is in the earliest stages of that process—learning the drills, finding their rhythm and beginning to understand the discipline and attention to detail it takes to perform as one. There’s a long way to go, but this is where it starts. Over the years, generations of Fish Drill Team cadets have turned these early practices into championship performances, building an incredible tradition of success at the Tulane University NROTC Mardi Gras Drill Meet in New Orleans. The movements will get cleaner. The timing will become precise. And little by little, individual fish will become one team. Precision. Discipline. Excellence.🏆 We’re looking forward to watching this team grow—and seeing where all those hours of practice take them. The Corps of Cadets Association proudly supports the Fish Drill Team and the cadets who continue this tradition of excellence. Gig ’em! 🇺🇸👍

Tradition in motion. 🎺🥁 For the first time in the 2026 season, the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band stepped off and marched in together on game day—and just like that, another season of tradition is underway. For former cadets, it brings back memories. For families, it’s a moment of incredible pride. And for today’s cadets, it’s their turn to carry forward a legacy generations of Aggies have marched before them. Every step reflects the precision, excellence, discipline, and leadership that define the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band and the Corps of Cadets. These are more than traditions—they are values carried forward from one generation of Aggies to the next. The Corps of Cadets Association is proud to stand behind the cadets who keep these traditions alive and to support more than 50 programs across the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets. Gig ’em! 👍🇺🇸

A special day for the Corps of Cadets Association! 🎉 The Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon-cutting to celebrate the Clay Family Building CCA Headquarters Grand Opening. Cadets, CCA staff, families and friends gathered to mark this exciting milestone and share in the celebration. A highlight of the ceremony was the unveiling of a beautiful mural painted by Benjamin Knox—local Aggie artist and former cadet—honoring the history, traditions and enduring spirit of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets. Thank you to everyone who helped make this memorable occasion possible! Gig ’em! 👍
