The hand over of title deeds is in line with the Department’s Title Deeds Restoration Programme aimed at the registration of more than 80, 000 title deeds across the country by 2030.  A title deed allows families to legally pass property down to future generations, creating a foundation for generational wealth. BREAKING NEWS| A proposed sale of prime land near Dunoon has been halted by Human Settlements Minister Thembi Simelane pending an investigation. The City says the land has not been sold and that a tender process aims to unlock affordable and state-subsidised housing through private-sector investment. The 72 hectare Annandale Farm was acquired in 2017 using public funding to address housing needs, but no homes have been built on the site.
