Our 75th Anniversary Gala this weekend will recreate some of our greatest hits, including:
On Friday, No.4 will pull the same train it did to commemorate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, whilst No.5 runs a shuttle service from Wharf to Brynglas reminiscent of the 1960's.
Not long now! We're so excited to be coming along this weekend! It's set to be a fantastic, jam packed event! Now for an important update; we'll be at Wharf Station instead of Abergynolwyn. So come see us there and find out what's the GVT has been up to these last few months! 馃榿
We're so excited to be heading to the Talyllyn Railway's 75th Gala in just over 2 weeks' time! We'll have a few items on display, and we'll be selling model kits to raise money for the tramway. A huge thank you to the Talyllyn for inviting us, we hope to see you there! 馃榿馃殏馃殐馃殐
Out in warm spring sunshine, we're continuing work on the Tramway. We've moved most of our new rail down and stacked it neatly for future use along the Chirk Straight. This allowed us to add another track panel to the mainline and three panels to the siding! Points come next!
Recently, in Wigan at C.J.S Heritage, one of our volunteers has been working on the body panels on the first of two coaches obtained from Somerset along with the Diesel. C.J.S Heritage Engineering will be re-gauging and installing air brake equipment to these coaches soon!
Last Friday, we got back to placing track panels to the south-side of Hand Lane bridge! Using one of our flat wagons, we moved two more track panels that were stored on top of the running line in the platform. Lots more updates coming soon! 馃榿 馃殏馃殐馃殐

The diesel has arrived safely at C.J.S Heritage Engineering Ltd, having being transported safely by TCs Haulage. CJS have already managed to start the loco, and have confirmed that the air system is working. Hopefully, work on regauging the locomotive will start soon!
Yesterday, the Trust's loyal team of volunteers made the long journey down to Somerset to collect some narrow gauge rolling stock and points! These will be at Chirk soon, but first, they will head to C.J.S Heritage engineering for re-gauging and restoration. 馃殏馃殐馃殐
We had an amazing time at the C.J.S Heritage Open Day, there was all sorts on display, including our own Kerr Stuart replica 'Tattoo' locomotive, which was kindly donated to us by the Castro family. We'll share more info on it soon and on ways to help out in its construction!
