Funnily enough, the author was an explorer.
He traveled around the world and visited countless cultures. He eventually ended up concluding that cultures shouldn’t mix, because everywhere he visited that had multiculturalism eventually lost all of its cultural identity and became a weird hyper-capitalist blob culture of ethnic enclaves and racial distrust, where everyone was out to steal from each other and screw over anyone outside their little enclave.
The book is him saying “This happened everywhere I visited, it could happen here too.”

I used to joke as a Muslim: “God doesn’t have a wife—how can He have a son?”
It sounded blasphemous. But no one explained this:
In Semitic culture, “son of” doesn’t mean biological. It means identity. Same nature.
Son of Man = fully human.
Son of God = fully divine.
That’s why in John 5:18 they tried to kill Jesus, not for healing, but because calling God His Father meant He was making Himself equal with God.
What used to offend me was this: I am messy. Totally human. The idea of a perfect God stepping into my mess felt wrong. Almost humiliating.
But I had it backwards. He wasn’t lowering Himself out of weakness. He was stepping down out of love. Because I wasn’t climbing my way to heaven. So, God came down - not as a rulebook, not as religion - but as a Son.
As a Savior. God didn’t get married. He revealed His nature.
And when I finally saw it, it didn’t make Him smaller or weaker. It made Him infinitely more powerful and beautiful.

I came out as a lesbian 30 years ago this year. In those 30 years, I’ve become a fully evolved gay. I no longer need a rainbow flag or pride month to back me. I no longer feel a sense of automatic community based on identity.
30 years ago, being gay was a lot different. You were rejected by society, family, & religion. A movement sprung up and fought for dignity. I was a part of that movement. I’m very proud of what I’ve done in terms of gay rights. However, gay rights morphed into trans lunacy.
I no longer feel the need to vote democrat to protect myself as a lesbian. I also no longer feel a barrier between God and I just because I’m gay 🙏 I’ve come full circle like the Prodigal Daughter - I came home to my conservative & godly roots after 30 years in the wilderness.
