Building Reeloop in public.
You give it a topic. You get a finished short: script, scenes, voice, captions. Then it can go to TikTok, Shorts, Reels.
I’m posting what I learn while shipping it. That’s the account now.
Most AI video tools treat a 30-second clip like one blob.
One ugly second and you’re regenerating the whole thing.
Scene-level regen is the boring fix: keep the good shots, redo the bad one.
Shipping in public means saying that out loud until people feel the difference.
A @reeloop_ai clip. The video is the post.
This one took 4 minutes. Shot 2 was garbage so I only regenerated shot 2.
No video required. One specific thing you learned.
Most AI video tools make you regenerate the whole clip because one second is ugly.
We split it by scene. Bad second, regenerate that scene, keep the rest.
that’s the whole product.
Wan 3.0 just made 30-second clips native.
A 30-second generation you cannot split is a longer version of the same failure: one bad second and you pay for all 30 again.
“AI video” is four markets wearing one label.
Editing real footage, faceless shorts, repurposing long video, and ads do not share a definition of quality.
Most tools pick one and market all four.
Text-to-video can now do a 15-second cinematic shot with camera and sound.
The remaining problem is editorial: change shot 3 without paying for shot 1 and 2 again.
Seedance 2.5 is getting credit for longer, more consistent clips.
Longer still dies the same death: one bad scene and you regenerate everything.
The model got better. The editor did not.
Do not collect data “for later” during onboarding. Every required field should support an immediate decision or visible output.
If onboarding asks for eight settings before showing value, consider inferring defaults, importing history, or generating a preview first.
When product chat exists but a customer emails instead, I do not blame the customer. I ask whether the in-app path was visible, trusted, and available at the moment of failure.
Support should be able to see why credits were not granted: webhook missing, duplicate ignored, product mapping mismatch, database error, or entitlement already fulfilled.
I prefer showing an estimated credit cost before generation, then reconciling to actual usage with a clear ledger. Hidden consumption makes support inevitable.
When a scene looks wrong, users need to regenerate that scene, not the whole video.
Granular recovery is the difference between a toy and an editor.
That's what we do at @reeloop_ai
