A severe thunderstorm with heavy rain on May 10 brought Guwahati to a halt.
These visuals are from Kalapahar’s Bhaskarnagar Jyoti Path, where an electric pole and shades collapsed due to the storm’s intensity.
Trees were uprooted across the city, blocking roads and creating major hazards. Hoardings and unipoles also came crashing down, adding to the chaos.
