Surely being an 'author' means you have been so involved in the paper's day-to-day research, analysis and write-up, that you have the authority to validate the work. Publishing more than one a week massively weakens that claim!

Life gets complex when papers are retracted... but I guess the only solution is to check with journal listings that your citations are still current before submitting your work for publication... a good way of double-checking the accuracy of your citation details

I'm not sure it has to all but disappear, or there will be a multi-year gap in your timeline... but I'd like to know what skills you picked up while doing it that will make you an outstanding candidate for the advertised position... research skills, time management, resilience..
