Pretty much agree. We will also see a kind of "Generation generation". Your own personalised content generated specifically for your interest, this will be books, films, games, explainer videos etc. But it won't replace the need for human connection, that's innate and it isn't going anywhere. There is something to be said about the knee jerk reaction to call anything made with AI "slop" though. I wrote about this earlier in the year. Whilst some of it definitely is garbage, not all of it is. Human slop was a thing way before we even had LLM's, and there is still plenty of it out there

It seems to be an instinct for people to be averse to immortality, but whether that's an innate instinct or a programmed one i'm not sure. Religions/faiths have tried to answer the question of what happens to our consciousness after we die, and I think many people hold onto the idea that there's something on the other side, including people we've lost. And there's no definitive proof that there is/isn't a continuation of consciousness after death, as we still don't really understand consciousness. So I think it's that uncertainty that makes people hesitant to want to continue living forever. Then there's the natural order of the universe as we currently understand it, it revolves around balance. Stars die and give birth to more stars, and not only that, it's where the chemical building blocks for planets, fungi, plants and humans comes from.
