Dr Muhammad Usman Akram from NUST (CoEME) has developed DxVision, an AI-based digital staining system that converts unstained image into virtual H&E-stained images helping pathologists examine tissue samples faster with up to 40% reduction in staining turnaround time.

NUST Community Services Club (NCSC ), in collaboration with the Jamila Sultana Foundation, successfully organised a three-day Blood Camp 2026 at NBS ground, reaffirming its commitment to community welfare and humanitarian service.
The camp witnessed an encouraging response, with a total collection of 566 units of blood and 803 registrations. The collected blood will serve as a lifeline for children battling thalassaemia, helping ensure access to the regular transfusions essential to their well-being.
Rector Dr. Muhammad Zahid Latif met a delegation from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS), one of the leading institutes of CAS, led by Prof. Dong Qiu, to discuss avenues for strengthening Pakistan-China academic and scientific collaboration.
The meeting took place in the context of ongoing efforts to develop a long-term Pakistan-China collaboration forum on biomaterials.
