Standard is such an interesting spin on Commander. Hope that format takes off.

A lot of commander discussion really comes down to "are you playing with old friends, or people you've never met before"

You can’t be mad at the duals & fetches in my bracket 3 deck, I play temple of the false god in the 99. 🤷‍♂️

My best performing cedh deck this year is probably my weakest/worst deck. •Stop chasing trends. •Pick a list and stick with it. •Goldfish, learn your lines. •Use your b tier deck ranking to your advantage . •Prioritize having fun, wins will follow.

We are so back. First cEDH tournament of the year. Small event, great crowd. With winnings was able to pick up a bunch of random cards I don’t actually own any copies of.

If commander could weather the bans/unbans from the past couple years… the collector side of magic can weather gold border reprints as legal in eternal formats.
Nesta ౨ৎ@nestapendragonApr 23
Can someone explain the MTG policy lore to me: why are gold borders still officially banned in Commander? I feel like I'm missing a piece of the puzzle. Card backs don't matter anymore, so is it a Reserved List thing? I genuinely want to know.

Goldfishing Rog/Si this weekend I realized: Flashback has really made Necropotence easy mode. 🔥 It’s not Dockside easy, but it’s a great improvement to navigate the lines.

People asking about prepared cards being game changers in commander. Well, some of the prepared cards are literally casting banned cards. What does this mean? Nothing, it means nothing. We already have Garth. Tokens/copies aren’t counted to deck construction.

If we treat tokens and copies of spells as the cards they mimic, you could technically make your deck illegal midway through a game. Make a copy of a permanent you own? Copy a spell? 2 of the same card in a deck. Illegal, straight to jail, game loss!
