@karakatsanism dropbox doesn’t support database syncing for 3rd-party apps, unfortunately

@karakatsanism sync, though, is *really really* hard to do, though, because we use Core Data, and iCloud makes that difficult.

@karakatsanism I’m currently working on two other mobile projects, but eventually I’ll get to a refresh/update of TN.

@karakatsanism hi Michalis! I’ll update Threadnote at some point, but I’m not currently dev’ing it. Any chance the plaintext export works?

@eastbayjay hey! Still here :) I’m building a second app at the moment (blixt.io) but will return to Threadnote once that’s launched. – at Seattle, WA

@buirachel i’d love it to! iCloud syncing is too much of a pain at the moment, unfortunately. (We use core data to store notes.)

@brandenbyers FWIW, Threadnote is backed up with your iPhone’s data - your notes are only lost if you delete the entire app. – at Seattle, WA

@brandenbyers there’s no plans for an auto-export feature at the moment. (Syncing would be better.) – at Seattle, WA

@gozacmission there isn’t, no. You can type the date into the text as a workaround, but there’s no way to edit the note’s actual date. – at Seattle, WA

@StoneGroper thanks for the app store review!

@StoneGroper there's also a URL scheme for Threadnote (and it's supported in LC): blog.threadnote.com/post/257…

@StoneGroper I hear that the new version of @draftsapp supports some wonderful shortcuts like that: macstories.net/reviews/ios-a…

@StoneGroper glad you like the export! Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to import notes; I can only send notes to others. Sorry!

Quick tip: if you tap-and-hold on a note in your list, it’s a shortcut to share the note!

@StoneGroper you can swipe to delete the topic or person. It removes the # or @ character, so the notes are preserved.

@HerrPoerner thank you! No plans for Dropbox integration at the moment, but there are some wonderful export features in the app.
@datasaur but I feel strongly that a syncing tool should both read and write, and plaintext might mess up the metadata a good amount.
