On a different note, I thought Jeremiah Alexander and Amare Adams both played their best games in a Clemson uniform against VT. The front 7 getting better to compliment this secondary is a saving grace moving forward.

On the heels of the most disappointing season of the Dabo Swinney era he made a questionable hire at OC & then handed him the worst QB room in all of P4 behind an inexperienced OL.
On the 3rd day of January the 2026 season was effectively over.
On the third day of January, Dabo Swinney opened a staff meeting with a message: Stop asking me about going to the portal for a quarterback. We have what we need there.

If you want to be an offense based around the QB run & you currently have a QB who can’t throw the ball down the field there’s a player on the roster that would be a much better option for that role than what we’ve seen so far.

Let me say that none of this is fair to Tait Reynolds. None. He shouldn’t be in this position & his OL/WR haven’t stepped up.
With that said, 7 weeks into the season the QB room Dabo stood pat with has to be in the discussion for worst in the P4.
Dabo lost to a Penn State team that James Franklin got fired from last year & then lost tonight to Franklin’s first ever team at Virginia Tech team that was basically rebuilt from the portal.
Telling.
They let the one player you have to stop get wide open. Such a great night for the defense might end on an incredibly sour note. A shame.
I can see the first two calls, but that last PI was just football. If we’re being honest it should have been an INT.
