HIDDEN ARSENAL UNCOVERED: A deputy from our Headquarters Patrol team spotted a white van tucked away in a remote part of unincorporated San Jose. What first appeared to be an odd, unattended vehicle quickly turned into something far more concerning.
Inside, deputies found a man along with several illegal weapons, including a short barrel rifle with an altered serial number, a ghost gun, and loaded high-capacity magazines. A search of the van also uncovered methamphetamine, drug related items, and several commercial grade grenades, later determined to be smoke grenades. Our Bomb Squad responded to safely handle and secure them.

On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at approximately 2:48 PM, the California Highway Patrol (CHP), along with the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety, responded to the Eastbound State Route 237 off-ramp to Southbound Lawrence Expressway for reports of a vehicle fire that had spread
to nearby vegetation and a sound wall.
Upon arrival, emergency crews located a fully involved van, with fire extending into the adjacent vegetation. Fire personnel quickly initiated suppression operations and were able to stop the fire from spreading further.
The off-ramp was temporarily closed while fire crews extinguished the remaining fire, completed overhaul, and cleared the scene.
No additional information regarding injuries or the cause of the fire was immediately available.

I did ask a question regarding this, and waiting to hear back. This one took place throughout San Jose.
@TigerStripePM
Last night the San Jose Police Department responded to multiple sideshows throughout the city. The patrol force immediately responded, broke up the events, and arrested the promoter, impounding his vehicle for 30 days. The City of San Jose has zero tolerance for sideshows. Attendees and promoters will be arrested, and their vehicles will be impounded. A thirty-day impound carries a hefty price tag. The message is clear: Not in San Jose.

GAS STATION GUN SCARE: Deputies got a call on Thursday about an argument at the @Chevron on N. De Anza Boulevard in @CityofCupertino. The caller said a man had pulled out a handgun during the dispute. Deputies responded and soon spotted the suspect nearby in a white Ford Mustang. When they pulled him over, he immediately put his hands out the window and told deputies the ‘gun’ was actually an airsoft replica. He was arrested, and the airsoft Glock was collected as evidence.
A big shout‑out to our West Valley Patrol deputies for handling a tense situation quickly and safely.
