A PvE-only mode will kill everything that makes ARC Raiders special. The entire point of the game is the risk of running into real players, the unpredictable fights, and the fear of losing your gear. Remove that tension and you're left with a repetitive looting simulator with zero stakes. The mode won't have any longevity, and it'll completely ruin what makes ARC Raiders unique.

Something we imo have no shot at keeping in 2026 is that classic had a kind of misalignment between the game and how people played it which led to interesting emergent stuff.
It felt like a somewhat random world for the players to make sense of without it always coming to meet them.
Like you won't get warlock summoning enterprises without there being a massive inconvenience left for the players to solve that way, but it was one of those things that made it truly feel like an mmo.
I understand why but I think the devs should not try too hard to make our fun for us. It needs to be a mix of both.

All they did was heavily update the map, add new jungle mobs, add new objectives, corrupted items, 6 new heroes, make voting a lot cooler, update the healthbars, the HUD, show when your dumbass teammates drop 1k bags at 10 minutes, improved the shop, the ping system, trooper behavior, a bunch of QOL updates, tools for content creation, new settings, a bunch of other stuff, and Graves can finally destroy Venator traps.
What a letdown.

Before tomorrow’s series starts, I’d like to go on record again as saying that I absolutely loathe the idea of a 3 game elimination series in baseball.
It’s just not reflective of anything that was accomplished over a 162 game season.

PS - a 5 game series is only slightly better . . . and teams who got a first round bye have to play in those. Also trash.
