You and everyone in the comments need a history lesson.
When you say people from Limpopo you mean Bapedi, VaTsonga, VhaVhenda and other communities. Your claim is a stereotype because you telling me LIMPOPO had never participated in liberation, let alone the chaos happening right now? That is a lie!
The Pedi kingdom which was ruled by King Sekhukhune the 1st took a stance against the Boers during a Boer invasion. The Boers lost which led to a weakened Boer republic where they had to join forces with Britain because they couldn’t win without them. The British army, which had allies with the Swazi kingdom, eventually defeated the Bapedi kingdom.
This is one of the first acts of resistance.
In 1958 there was Sekhukhune Revolt against the apartheid government. A rural area where they tried to insert fake state controlled chiefs. They faced police brutality, mass arrests, banishment, execution but they didn’t stop there with the uprisings. Mind you the key leaders of this uprising were Elias Motsoaledi, John Nkadimeng and Flag Boshielo.
Elias Motsoaledi has a municipality named after him, as well as a road in Soweto. Flag Boshielo has a dam named after him. John Nkadimeng has Nkadimeng street named after him.
University of Limpopo, which was also a big part of the anti-apartheid resistance had Onkgopotse Tiro. He gave a famous speech criticising Bantu Education, which started a nationwide student walkouts before he was assassinated. In 1974, Turfloop students alongside Cyril Ramaphosa defied state bans to stage pro-independence rallies for Mozambique, which in turn helped start the momentum that led to the 1976 Soweto Uprising.
Let’s not forget that Limpopo was the frontline of the armed struggle because that’s where the boarder is. MK fighters had to cross country through OUR region (Limpopo) to launch their operations. Locals had to constantly harbour, guide, and hide these fighters. If caught, they were tortured, imprisoned and killed by the apartheid government. Flag Boshielo also lost his life trying to assist.
Elias Motsoaledi, Flag Boshielo, John Nkadimeng, Peter Mokaba, Collins Chabane, Tito Mboweni…
I refuse to let my ancestors be called cowards simply because of tribalism and not knowing the history of Limpopo. Call them anything but cowards! People died, people were killed and it is disingenuous to call them cowards when they have paid with their lives!
Finally, just because Limpopo doesn’t do violence like KZN, it doesn’t make them cowardly. We are peace makers, and that is also a key part in a fight or in a war. But cowards? Asoze take it back 🤷🏽♂️

I want people to remember Sivenathi Toto as the young woman she was before the attack.
Sive was only 23.
In August 2022 she was attacked so severely in George that her life changed permanently. According to the case before court, she was dragged from her home, assaulted until she lost consciousness and then dumped near a petrol station.
She survived.
But she suffered severe brain damage and a stroke. She lost her ability to speak and walk independently and is now permanently wheelchair-bound and dependent on other people for her daily care.
The man accused of attacking her was reportedly granted bail the day after his arrest.
Action Society became involved and continued monitoring her case. Four years later, the court process is still continuing.
When we talk about GBV victims, we understandably speak about the women who have been murdered.
But there are also women like Sive.
Alive, but carrying catastrophic injuries for the rest of their lives.
Her life cannot simply become another forgotten court file because she survived.
Say her name too.

Acts of service men are dangerously attractive. Fixing problems, making sure you've eaten, charging your phone, carrying your things... that's romance to me

Violence exists on a continuum. People rarely announce extreme harm; instead, they test boundaries through casual misogyny, sexist jokes, and degrading language. Accountability means disrupting that culture early. If you let the "jokes" slide, you're creating a safe space for the harmful mindset and behaviour that follow.

This is rape. It’s coercion. He kept pushing and pushing and pushing.
You guys are upset because if this is rape, then it means you have also been a victim or perpetrator of rape.

It's really not worth it for women. I wouldn't call them bari though. I think it's deep biological drive to procreate, it's something women can't help, they want to be mothers. Men are horrible to women in many ways but the drive remains strong.
