Since the start of Russia’s war against Ukraine, millions of people have suffered from its atrocities. Civilians have been killed in their homes, prisoners of war tortured and executed, and Ukrainian children taken from their families.
Russia has destroyed entire neighbourhoods and cities and attacked hospitals, schools, universities, cafés, shops, and kindergartens.
In recent months, Russia’s attacks against civilians have only intensified. Because Russia must face real consequences for its actions. It must receive a clear signal that its crimes will not go unpunished.
We call on our partners to step up pressure on Russia and strengthen support for Ukraine’s defence.

Putin’s forces killed a baby in her stroller on a playground. Her name was Angelina.
She was just over a year old when a Russian Shahed drone struck a park in Kharkiv region.
Her mother, Inna, later died in hospital. An 11-year-old girl was also killed. Six people died in total, while 14 others, including six children, were injured.

"Head-scratching... & disconcerting, to say the least." President Trump's decisions over Ukraine are alarming allies. Former Pentagon official @EvelynNFarkas says the diesel deal w/Russia is "giving Putin a gift... That is completely disconnected to trying to get a peace deal."

A Russian Shahed drone hit civilian infrastructure in Lutsk, damaging a residential building and a store. Six people were killed and 13 injured.
This strike in broad daylight follows a massive overnight attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, with recovery efforts still underway across the country.
Russia's daily terror shows a deliberate effort to terrorise Ukrainians and prolong the war, ignoring calls from the US and the American President. We expect every G7 leader and all partners committed to peace to step up pressure on Russia, impose strong sanctions and provide assistance to protect Ukrainian people.
Without sufficient pressure, Russia will keep killing.

Last night’s massive ballistic attack on Kyiv’s energy infrastructure is another reminder of Putin’s intentions: to undermine Ukraine, exhaust its people and break their will to resist, not pursue peace.

Russia has a message for foreign diplomats in Kyiv: leave, or risk your lives.
Our answer: We are staying.
The EU Delegation is staying.
Threatening us will not stop Europe’s support for Ukraine. It only reminds us why that support matters!

Once you start a war, it may eventually be felt at home.
Our long-range responses had a very significant impact in the Moscow region last night. One of Russia’s key oil industry facilities and the aggressor’s logistics facility were hit. These are billions of dollars that sustain the war machine. The systems used included FP-1, RZ-100, MICH-2000, Palianytsia, Vendetta, Liutyi, Bars, Flamingo, Sichen, and Pelican.
I thank our warriors for their accuracy: the Security Service of Ukraine together with the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, and the Foreign Intelligence Service. Sanctions were also imposed on a facility in the Voronezh region. Moscow must end its brutal war and choose peace instead of building layered rings of air defense at the expense of other regions. Steps toward de-escalation are on the table – in energy and food security. What is needed is political will. I thank everyone who is strengthening Ukraine’s long-range capabilities. I am grateful to everyone who complements our long-range responses with responses through sanctions. Glory to Ukraine!

According to @UNHumanRights, since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 1,004 cases of sexual violence have been documented, the vast majority attributed to Russian forces.
Russia systematically employs sexual violence as a weapon of war, using it as a method of torture, punishment, intimidation, and coercion against both prisoners of war and civilians.
This is yet another grave example of Russia’s blatant disregard for international law, human dignity, and the most basic principles of humanity.
We cannot turn a blind eye to these crimes. Russia must be held accountable in the strongest possible terms.
Every victim, and every person whose loved ones have suffered as a result of Russia’s atrocities, deserves justice. Accountability is not optional. It is imperative.
#Ukraine: Shocking pattern of sexual violence used against civilians and prisoners of war since the start of #Russia’s attack more than 4 years ago.
“Sexual violence is a grave feature of the full-scale armed attack against Ukraine. It must stop immediately,” UN Human Rights Chief @volker_turk says.

to discuss one of Russia’s most brutal crimes, the deportation of Ukrainian children.
Yesterday, I led the Nordic-Baltic #NB8 delegation to Kyiv to discuss how we can further strengthen our support for Ukraine as it continues to resist Russia’s aggression and prepares for the coming winter.
Together with my NB8 colleagues, I met Human Rights Commissioner @lubinetzs to discuss one of Russia’s most brutal crimes, the deportation of Ukrainian children.
More than 20,000 children have been forcibly taken from Ukraine. The international community must do everything possible to help bring them home.

🇺🇦🇪🇪 EDUHUB, a new centre supporting nearly 4,000 kindergarten teachers across the region.
It is a place for teachers to learn, share ideas and access modern teaching methods and tools, including through a dedicated STEAM lab.
But the most important part of EDUHUB is the teachers. Investing in them means investing in Ukraine’s children and in the future of its communities.
🇺🇦🇪🇪 Today in Zhytomyr, together with Foreign Minister Margus @Tsahkna, we opened EDUHUB, a new space for nearly 4,000 kindergarten teachers.
Better tools. New ideas. Stronger teachers.
💙💛Because when we invest in teachers, we invest in Ukraine’s children and future.

Russia’s barbaric strikes at the Ukraine-Poland border in Yahodyn are not just a continuation of its attacks on our state borders.
This is Putin’s terror “knocking” directly on the doors of the EU and NATO. Russian barbarians are at your gate, dear partners.
Act now: throw the full weight of your sanctions at Putin’s aggressive regime. Make Moscow feel the consequences of its terror. Not just half-decisions, but uncompromising, powerful steps. Full trade embargo. Full entry bans. Full sanctions on the military-industrial complex.
Putin needs to understand that his barbarism will be met with decisive action that increases the cost of war for him to an unacceptable level. This is the only way to stop him.
