Linekar was 100% correct in observing that the government’s language was strongly reminiscent of That employed by the Nazis in the 1930s - that fact is not changed by knowing that a lot of us are anti immigrants.

Lineker, a few thoughts 1) Free speech wins, good 2) The comment was stupid and incendiary and he must have known that 3) A huge proportion of the popn wants immigration curbed 4) A huge proportion of the BBC staff does not and has shown it will fight on culture war issues 1/2
