At least three children have been killed in Gaza in the past 24 hours as heavy rains and bitter cold batter displaced families in makeshift tents. For the fourth consecutive winter, Palestinians are being denied adequate shelter as Israel continues to block the entry of tents, mobile homes and other essential materials, with President Trump’s @BoardOfPeace failing to press for their delivery despite trucks waiting at Gaza’s borders.

Palestinians in Gaza are being flooded out of their tents while SNL tells Babylon Bee jokes pretending to believe that anyone who humanizes them must hate Jews. It’s not just the American news media that’s propaganda; it’s all American mainstream entertainment.

They told you the enemy was across the border.
And you looked across the border.
They told you the enemy was across the aisle.
And you looked across the aisle.
They told you the enemy spoke a different language, prayed facing a different direction, came from a country you couldn't find on a map, wanted to take what you had, hated you for your freedom.
And you looked.
Every time, you looked where they pointed.
The only place you never looked was up.
Not because you couldn't.
Because they made sure that looking up felt unpatriotic.
Felt ungrateful.
Felt like the kind of thinking that dangerous people do.
And you were not dangerous.
You were good.
You believed in the country.
You looked across the border.
You looked across the aisle.
And the people above you kept their hands in your pocket and thanked you for your service.

⭕️ President Donald Trump asked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a call Thursday to start implementing his Gaza plan, Axios, a frequent conduit for official US and Israeli leaks, writes, citing two sources.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Trump's son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner and envoy Steve Witkoff reportedly joined the call, which also covered the Iran war. Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, a member of Trump's Board of Peace, met Netanyahu and his rival Gadi Eisenkot the next day to push the plan.
The plan, frozen since July to accommodate Israel's domestic politics, calls for the delivery of basic aid into Gaza in return for decommissioning Hamas's weapons, starting with heavy arms and tunnels, in step with a staged Israeli withdrawal, an international force and a Palestinian technocratic government to run Gaza.
Hamas agreed to the 15-point deal with the Board of Peace in July, but Netanyahu's government refused to move on it and kept killing Palestinians ahead of the election. When Kushner met him in August, following a week-long lull in Israel’s genocidal murder in Gaza, Netanyahu showed him polling that suggested Israeli voters opposed rebuilding Gaza and supported daily strikes and killings, Israeli outlets reported at the time.
Kushner gave a “green light” to continue the slaughter, Haaretz reported, and Israel struck a Gaza City café the next day, killing six people and has continued killing civilians each day in the weeks since. Israeli forces have killed over 1,600 Palestinians in Gaza since agreeing to a “ceasefire” that began 13 months ago, Gaza's Health Ministry said today.

"Now you get all the Labour MPs saying.. Abdul El-Sayed is so good. You would have 100% blocked him"
Yep! @michaeljswalker remembers how El-Sayed was in the UK in 2019 campaigning for Labour candidate Faiza Shaheen. Who was subsequently blocked by the Labour right leadership.

UFC chief Dana White says he’ll meet Donald Trump after the US president urged him to become White House press secretary.
But social media users say the administration may have intended to nominate a more experienced, Black woman with the same name.
Could UFC boss Dana White be next White House press secretary?

Your regular reminder that only 22 MP's were principled enough to vote against the proscription of Palestine Action.
All 9 SNP MPs, 4 Plaid Cymru MPs & 72 Lib Dem MPs abstained (with the Lib Dems, 66 had no vote recorded & 6 abstained by voting both for and against)
Labour MPs regret voting for Palestine Action ban that led to 4,000 arrests in a year
Backbenchers say the right to protest has been harmed since they were ‘pressured’ into proscribing the organisation as a terror group

Israel did not create the rainstorms hitting Gaza. But it made sure that the people there have no shelter.
Gaza’s first winter storm hit this weekend. Within 12 hours at least 70,000 tents had flooded.
The UN, EU and World Bank put housing destroyed or damaged at 76.6%. The UN’s housing rapporteur says 92%. He called his report “Domicide.”
OCHA, November 5: Gaza needs about 121,000 tents. The UN has about 2,800 inside. Timber is “being rejected by Israeli authorities.” The Shelter Cluster says tents and tarpaulins are “limited to one day per week.” 5,000 mobile homes from Egypt and Qatar are sitting at the Egyptian border, per the Times of Israel.
Gaza Municipality says what’s left of the drainage can carry about 20% of the rain “under the best circumstances.”
COGAT says more than 20,000 tents went in during one month and cites “genuine security concerns that Hamas could exploit certain components.” Even on its numbers, that’s a fraction of what the UN says is needed.
The Israeli policy is that Gazans should have no shelter. It makes them more liklely to die or leave.

"Moralizing is only for the privileged."
By this logic:
The enslaved person who wanted freedom was moralizing.
The Vietnamese peasant who thought their village shouldn’t be burned was moralizing.
The Haitian revolutionary who decided that bondage was wrong was moralizing.
All of them, apparently, misunderstood the 4 billion year death battle and should have accepted their place in the resource competition.
This argument doesn’t just excuse the powerful.
It retroactively delegitimizes every act of resistance by the people with the least power in history.
Which is, if you follow it honestly, an extraordinary thing to believe.
And a very convenient one, depending on where you sit.
Replying to @nxt888
When you eat food, do you feel better or guilty for having access to resources that others in the world lack?
Do you understand what life on earth is?
A 4 billion year long death battle for control of resources and reproductive dominance.
Moralizing is only for the privileged
