Vitamin D deficiency is a major epidemic that is off the radar for most doctors and public health officials.
Most doctors think that if you don’t have rickets you don’t have vitamin D deficiency. They couldn’t be more wrong. Most ask what is the minimum dosage to avoid rickets? Answer: 400 international units (IU) a day.
But the real questions to ask are: how much were we designed to have and how much do we need to be healthy? It depends. If you have a deficiency, you might need somewhere between 5,000 to 10,000 IU a day. Others need about 2,000 to 2500. However, It's best to work with a Functional Medicine practitioner to determine how much vitamin D you need.
Amazing things start to happen when my patients’ vitamin D statuses reach optimal levels. Having witnessed these changes, there’s no doubt in my mind: vitamin D is an incredible asset to your health.

In developing countries, poor quality construction has led to spontaneous #buildingcollapse & during earthquakes, to major disasters. While reliable building codes are widely used in design, builders in developing countries often fail to meet acceptable standards (thread)

Kenya already wrote this rulebook. Regulation 5 of the 2020 procurement rules makes foreign-loan contractors reserve 50% of jobs for Kenyans, source 40% of inputs locally and file a skills-transfer plan.
Then 5(4) lets Treasury waive all three. The rulebook came with its own exit door.

Investor confidence is the backbone of a strong economy. When political leaders undermine confidence in our markets, they risk scaring away both local and foreign investors, weakening market stability, and undermining the very businesses and jobs our people depend on.

At KES 310B, annualized interest of just 13% gives you roughly KES 40B in equity available every year.
Crowd in private-sector equity at 3:1, and you have KES 160B in total equity.
Leverage that with debt financing of up to 60%, and you can unlock KES 400B worth of projects EVERY YEAR! Without touching principal.
That’s KES 2 TRILLION in investments over five years.
The real opportunity is not just how much money we have. It’s how intelligently we deploy it.
And how we can capture a huge portion of this locally..
