BREAKING: The city of Toledo says the tank that has been leaking a toxic chemical was no longer releasing material, as of around 8:30 pm. The city says the 1/4 mile evacuation radius from MC Tank Transport at 1266 Progress Avenue is still in place at this hour.
BREAKING: we have a tornado warning for Lenawee County, Michigan until 4:45 and a tornado warning for Monroe County until 5:45 pm. There's also a severe thunderstorm warning for Lucas and Wood Counties too. We are on the air now live on WTOL 11.
My buddy Dan Cummins retires today and it's going to be hard to say goodbye! He has over 50 years in broadcasting and he has been at WTOL 11 since 1980 and that's incredible. I've learned a ton from him and wish him nothing but the best now that it's all Dan time from here!
It's hard to get around Perrysburg right now because a train is broken down and is blocking 3 intersections. City officials say the CSX train is blocking crossings at Fort Meigs Road, Eckel Junction Road, and Eckel Road and that it could be until around 1:30 pm until it clears.
