A Texas state agency reported my public criticism to the state police. Police were sent to my home. Here are the records.
On June 18, the Sunset Advisory Commission published its review of the Texas Workforce Commission. Issue 4 is titled "TWC's Poorly Executed IT Modernization Efforts Compromise the Effective Delivery of Workforce and Child Care Services to Texans."
The next day I posted a thread quoting it. It included this: "The Legislature should demand accountability from TWC's IT leadership... Public hearing Aug 12. See you there."
On June 26, TWC asked the public to help honor "those championing employment for people with disabilities." I replied: "How ironic. The full story will be out soon about how the TWC treats it's own staff with disabilities."
That's it. That's the post.
On July 7, an employee in TWC's Risk & Security Management unit reported my account to DPS. She "believed the posts on X were becoming more aggressive." She also "believed" the account was mine. A guess.
DPS opened a case classified "Threat To Life." Its report calls this "a threat of self-harm against the Texas Workforce Commission," then quotes my post as the threat.
On July 10, a DPS agent called my local police non-emergency line and asked for a welfare check at my home. On the recording, he says my statements were on TWC's X page. They weren't. He says a prior welfare check "agitated" me and that I "may just get agitated with another welfare check." He says "his former employer told us."
That prior check, in July 2025, was requested by TWC itself, and I believe it was retaliation for speaking out about failures at the TWC. I never spoke to an officer that day. So, how was I "agitated" or "amped up" as described? Everyone knows how those terms are used to put someone in danger during a so called "wellness check."
Dispatch logged the call as a Priority 1 suicide threat, with the note "MAY GET AGITATED WITH OFCS."
Three units were sent to my home. Fifteen minutes after the call came in, the responding officer wrote: "The post today wasnt an active threat."
DPS created its case record the next morning. Its records still list the case as open, with no deadline. No DPS investigator has ever contacted me.
Then DPS's lawyers wrote to the Attorney General to keep the records from me: "The investigative report forms the basis of the pending prosecution." I have not been charged with anything.
All of this happened while I had a pending federal civil rights charge against TWC, and while TWC was under Sunset review.
I had written "See you there" about the Aug 12 hearing. After police came to my door, we didn't go. My wife and I were terrified.
Meanwhile, TWC's CIO and a deputy CIO, who oversaw the IT failures Sunset documented, have left on retirement and voluntary-separation codes. Neither was dismissed for cause.
Accountability for the IT failures: none. For the critic who quoted the report: police at his door.
Read the records. Then ask why a state agency under legislative review sent the police to the home of a man who criticized it.

First they came for the entry-level jobs, shipped overseas to pad a quarter,
and I did not speak out, because it was not my problem.
Then they came for the mid-level jobs, handed to visa body shops that traffic in indentured labor and bribe their way into contracts,
and I did not speak out, because I was senior and safe.
Then they came for the rest, replaced by AI that will never unionize, never complain, never say no,
and I did not speak out, because I still had a job and a mortgage and a reason to look away.
Then they came for me, because I finally did speak up because I loved my state and country.
I stayed quiet to stay safe. The day I spoke, I learned there was never any safe.

‼️MICROSOFT WHISTLEBLOWERS PUBLIC STATEMENT:
“It is a national security risk to allow workers in foreign countries access to US government clouds and data. As ProPublica revealed, the escort model is just administrative. Escorts don't prevent foreign developers from taking harmful actions. This needs to change.” — MSFT Whistleblower
My opinion: The whistleblower has came forward with valid concerns. I hope the U.S. Gov looks into this. @DHSgov @CISAgov @FBI
🚨BREAKING (EXCLUSIVE): National Security Concerns Leaked by MSFT Whistleblower
Leaked Microsoft screenshots show an India-based engineer received approval to view U.S. government cloud logs.
A Microsoft whistleblower contacted me and shared screenshots supporting allegations that Microsoft used its “escort” process to allow an India based engineer to access Government Community Cloud (GCC) systems. The whistleblower alleges the engineer is not a U.S. citizen.
Microsoft’s own published rules state that temporary elevated access to customer content in GCC requires verified U.S. citizenship. The escort model is the workaround the company uses so non-U.S. personnel can still direct the work.
The screenshots show Viraj Chokhany requesting and receiving approval for escort access to view logs in the DPRODMGD151 environment, which is part of Government Community Cloud Moderate — the cloud used by many federal, state, and local agencies.
In the escort process, a U.S. person is supposed to open the system while the India-based engineer guides the work.
The whistleblower believes this raises urgent national security concerns and may violate FedRAMP requirements.
Multiple Microsoft employees have reviewed the screenshots and confirmed they appear authentic. Viraj, has been confirmed to live in India-- Where he also attended and graduated college.
The whistleblower is working on a public statement. I will release the whistleblowers statement when I receive it.
Attached images are some of the screenshots that I received from the Whistleblower.

🚨🚨🚨 “…Microsoft employees have told me that U.S. government information requiring a security clearance is routinely exposed to foreign workers.”
This is completely illegal, is anything going to be done?

🚨 2 Microsoft employees have told me that U.S. government information requiring a security clearance is routinely exposed to foreign workers.
Employees told me that when they raise concerns, they are often ignored.
Allegedly, foreign workers (in foreign countries) are being added to email chains and meetings where cleared Microsoft employees are discussing and sharing sensitive U.S. government information.
The feds should definitely look into this. @realDonaldTrump @you POTUS @JDVance @FBI @DHSgov

Just to be clear, if you are an HR representative or a manager who is hiring H-1B workers or offshoring American jobs to India you are a filthy traitor.

We need this in Texas @GregAbbott_TX @DonHuffines @TX_Sunset @TexasDIR Move IT internal, save a fortune on double billing and most likely a bit for waste, fraud and abuse as a bonus. I have personally witnessed internal staff propose and even build solutions in house but then have the project sent to a vendor anyway. Even one that was already done!
Time for my monthly PSA.
Millions are wasted across virtually all local, state and federal jurisdictions on IT Services.
Here’s an example of a Sheriff who cut $12 million alone from reducing IT Services they were paying for but not deriving value from. She also plans to move more work in house, for an additional $6-7 M in savings.

Can confirm. I used to specialize in doing code cleanup for failed offshored/outsourced software development. FYI, they all failed. Every single one, until someone like me redid the whole project. Yet, it continues and now it's worse, because people like me have been let go. No one is left to clean up the mess.
during my time working at a european oil major, word got out i had previously worked in tech and i somehow got loaded with the responsibility of being business analyst and SME for the development of a new pricing tool (in addition to my regular job, of course). obvs, the company, to save a few centimes (or so they thought), outsourced development to a 3rd party indian development team, who worked off a design document that i cooked up over the course of a couple of weeks. no cap, crystal clear design doc - as long as you bother to actually read it, which of course they didn't
in spite of the fact that i spelled out exactly everything they needed to do in the design doc, and would meet up with them biweekly to go over features (i'm not calling them user stories, go cry on r/agile), troubleshoot and so on, they simply could not make it happen. just one example, i remember spending like a month explaining to them twice per week that they were using the wrong primary key for some table (it was fucking up data integrity during updates, blah blah blah), yet they could not figure it out. it only got fixed when i convinced them to let me do a code-along session with their "data engineer" to fix the issue. there were several cases like this per month.
this dragged on for almost a year and somehow they managed to bleed us for $700,000 in development costs for an application that honestly would have taken a single qualified developer maybe a month of solo work to do. At that point, they were perhaps halfway done and I gave my honest assessment to the company that they would probably try to bleed us for another $700,000, at which point the company pulled the plug
this is one story, but frankly i had many at this company. they also outsourced accounting to an indian team as well. absolute fucking nightmare. i would spend hours trying to explain to indians how Excel works, why you can't just make up numbers and you actually need to track unexplained expenses, discrepancies, etc (that's basically literally their whole job) because they could indicate a billing issue or internal data problem. and so on.
i'm honestly unconvinced at this point that outsourcing actually saves money. sure, indians are only $300 per month or whatever, but you end up paying 50 of them to do something a single decent worker could do, and yet they still fuck it up
Going to take a pause while investigations are underway. I am hopeful that justice will prevail. Those that can fix the issues have been in contact with me. Make Texas Great Again! @GregAbbott_TX @DonHuffines @TxDPS @FBIDallas @andrealucasEEOC @DOLOIG #txlege
In an economy fueled by debt, raising interest rates does NOT decrease inflation, but increases it. When a huge interest payment increases, that's an input and companies raise prices to offset it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gibson…

I’m beginning to think our largest industry in this country isn’t finance and real estate, it’s fraud.
There isn’t a single segment of the economy that isn’t riddled with this cancer.

The Great Enshittification
Products: Same price, less inside. Built to fail a month after the warranty ends.
Food: Smaller bags, more air, cheaper ingredients, same label. Restaurant prices up, portions down, plus a "service fee" and a tip screen asking for 25% on a counter order.
Services: Junk fees on everything. Concert tickets, hotels, rent, internet. The price you see is never the price you pay.
Call centers: Press 1. Press 4. Say "representative." Hold for 52 minutes. Then you reach someone you can barely understand, who can barely understand you.
Software: Updates that make it slower, uglier, and full of ads. Your data collected, sold, and leaked. Breaks all the time because they are using developers who bought their degrees from a diploma mill and faked credentials.
Insurance, banks, airlines, healthcare: Pay more, get less, and fight for what you were promised. Constantly goes up and they claim "inflation" but then have record earnings.
None of this is an accident. It's a playbook.
What's the worst example you've dealt with lately?
