Today was a driving day, two wheelchair-user members taken to groups & home 5 hrs later. Our shopper bus picked up a lady in Upper Denby today & found roads closed. The @kirkleescouncil contractors could not do enough to get the bus as close to her despite a planer digging up the road. On return the workmen even carried her shopping back to the door! #Kindnessiseasy

All geared up for Christmas, our projects all have different closing days depending on that project & the needs of members; we have 6 projects active during the Christmas Week. We feel the renewed Community Anchor project has really got going this month. We are uniting & supporting local community groups and connecting local people to rural groups. We are supporting 3 groups do needs assessments. Next is a study to find out what support groups need. – at Huddersfield, England
