The 4HW era had already dramatically shifted the pay ceiling for a top woman in wrestling. Mercedes going to AEW broke the ceiling altogether. There’s a reason the women of that era and their immediate successors (Iyo, Rhea, Bianca) stopped being positioned as main event level.

There is ALWAYS progress to be made but the AEW women’s division is arguably stronger & more balanced than it’s ever been. I think Mercedes has been utilized very well as QB1 of the division considering she’s still actively working through an injury. Just my two cents though 🤷🏾‍♀️

Actually, it didn’t. You can be happy for Queen Aminata winning the TBS title in the main event of Dynamite (which took place entirely in the overrun btw) and also be unhappy that the women’s world title angle was hijacked by the Anarchy in the Arena build. It’s not all or nothing. Nuance matters.

A very good Dynamite, a lot of good things are happening right now in a period that usually cools off with AEW as an unofficial offseason. Aminata winning the TBS title was sincerely great (and so was the main event), you got The Cut dominating everywhere, Mone/Marina looks fire. I'm looking forward to Full Gear.
