Kini Fuji e - The Podumentary Series. In 1999, King Wasiu Ayinde had an idea, along with Jimi Akinniyi, to create a weekly platform in London for Music and Food. Not just Fuji, but also Afrobeat. I was called to film it, and that was how I diverted my life into Music… Kini Fuji e - Ayo Shonaiya & Wasiu Ayinde Episode 1 Premiere. October 25th. R70Television on YouTube.

Merry Christmas Everyone! 🎄 So in 1999, I wrote and directed a film that was very good, titled Spin, shot in London and starring Caroline Chikezie, Chebe Azih and myself, with a fantastic soundtrack by Ola Onabule. We took it to a few film festivals before release on DVD, and it even got some nominations and great reviews. The first film by a Nigerian to premiere at a cinema in London’s Westend. If I put this film on my YouTube channel, would you watch it? 😊 Subscribe to the R70 Television YouTube channel now. Lots of exciting content on there. We’re building something trust me. Eyo Festival 2025. As Lagos prepares for the Eyo Festival on 27th December, Lagos Island is already buzzing! When I was a little boy growing up in Lagos, the Eyo Festival was held annually and I’d always hope that when I grow up, one day I will also “carry” Eyo. But I never did. The Eyo is the symbol of Lagos and such a big part of my childhood. The sea of white and the colourful Agas (the hats) and the Opas (the staffs). I learned the incantations as well. When I was with Wasiu Ayinde, anytime we do the Eyo song at performances I get goose pimples and my head will always swell. This is why anytime we are sponsored by Lagos State for the Nigerian Corner at Notting Hill Carnival I always bring the Eyo out in London just to recreate my childhood. I must have attended like 7 Eyo Festivals before they stopped doing it annually, when it started getting rowdy at times and a bit dangerous, but a lot of the times it was very exciting and celebratory. The Eyo is why I call myself a “Lagos boy”, the reason I always tick Lagos as my state of origin on every form I fill, even tho I was born in England and my father is from Ijebu. The Eyo will forever be in my heart. Eeeesua!!! ❤️ #AdamuOrisa
