Sir Timothy John Paul Platt Monday, 4th Baronet of Carrickfergus Philanthropist, faithful Anglican, born on Christmas Eve and baptised at Saint Nicholasโ€™ Church, Carrickfergus; Fuรพorc Grand Runemaster; philologist and grammarian; enthusiastic collector of Great Britain stamps and Fellow of the Royal Philatelic Society London; a cricket dabbler who has a particular weakness for tea time; MCC member and proud Gloucestershire CCC supporter. A ghost-haunter, much acquainted with the Matter of Britain, though especially with its folk hero and central figure, King Arthur; a Holy Grail seeker born in Ulster and currently living somewhere amongst the crystal lakes of Cumbria, in the North West of England.

It is sheer lunacy that there are debates over the Poppy. In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, ย ย ย ย That mark our place; and in the sky ย ย ย ย The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, ย ย ย ย Loved and were loved, and now we lie, ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw ย ย ย ย The torch; be yours to hold it high. ย ย ย ย If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย In Flanders fields.

France will not recover; this is the end. The nation has lost the cultural war. The demographic structure has shifted forever. People who find it easy to spray graffiti on the magnificent architecture of French cities and burn Paris are the new French people. All class and decorum are gone. Arrivals from failed third-world states are not coming to assimilate or to be French; they are coming to live the third-world way. The unfolding civil unrest in France is not fundamentally about student grievances or dilapidated classrooms. The chaos is the inevitable result of an unholy, anti-white alliance that has turned parts of major French cities into dangerous enclaves where state authority has completely surrendered. The Emmanuel Macron administration has completely lost control. The political elite have spent years hiding the true demographic shifts, pretending that multicultural integration works while the traditional French way of life is hollowed out. The French state is broke and paralyzed because it has spent decades funding its own demographic replacement. The areas burning today are heavily linked to enclaves where the police rarely dare to venture, zones where Western legal norms have been replaced by radical, sectarian influences. While the mainstream media tries to fact-check the footage by calling it old or out of context, the raw video on the ground shows a society reaching a violent tipping point. This unrest is a warning sign for the entire Western world. A country that refuses to defend its borders, its history, and its culture will eventually face the progressive implosion of social trust. Once you surrender your borders and sacrifice your national identity to accommodate diasporas with totally different cultural backgrounds, you do not get a richer society; you get a war zone. France has completely failed its own people.

France has 290 operational nuclear warheads, with 48 assigned to nuclear submarines, and 50 assigned to nuclear-capable aircraft. There are also ~80 non-operational warheads awaiting dismantlement. So having raving Islamic maniacs taking control of the country is a bad idea.

Most countries impose a minimum age for holding public office. But ought there not to be a maximum as well? If one must be old enough to govern, surely one should not be permitted to become so old as to have forgotten what the world is like for the governed.

The Ethiopian Bible is considered the oldest and most complete Christian Bible on Earth. Created around the early fifth century, it was carefully written on goat skin, ensuring its preservation over centuries. Remarkably, it is also the worldโ€™s first illustrated Christian Bible, featuring intricate artwork that accompanied the sacred texts. Its survival provides a rare and invaluable glimpse into early Christian religious practices and manuscript traditions. This ancient Bible reflects both the spiritual devotion and the artistic skill of its creators. The illustrations were not only decorative but also served to enhance understanding and engagement with the scriptures. Each page demonstrates the careful craftsmanship and reverence with which early Christian communities approached their sacred texts. Today, the Ethiopian Bible remains a testament to the durability of early manuscripts and the cultural importance of preserving religious heritage. Scholars and historians study it to understand early biblical interpretation, Christian art, and the transmission of religious knowledge across centuries. Its existence highlights the deep historical roots of Christianity in Ethiopia and beyond.

England won the Ashes. The MCC backed the tour. Harold Larwood bowled the ballsโ€”and paid the price. At Lordโ€™s, I found that the most uncomfortable thing about Bodyline was not the bowling, but the hypocrisy of gentlemen who disowned their own decisions.
