A statement was made last Friday night. With all eyes focused on Memorial Stadium in Troy for the game between the top two football teams in the Miami Valley League, Tipp made an emphatic statement. The Red Devils secured a home playoff game, and this week can win the league title outright, as they cruised past the Trojans 35-0. “It wasn’t pretty in the first half, but we didn’t want to give up the big play,” Tipp coach Matt Burgbacher said. “We wanted to force them to take another down and we were fortunate to get a couple turnovers.” buff.ly/oeaAx9Z
